The Little Wolf Maid And The Ruthless Lycan King

Chapter 1 “Lianna!” Lianna’s mother called out down the empty hall. Her heart racing and her stomach twisting in fear. Of all the days for the wolf king's last daughter to disappear, she had to choose the day of her official courtship and introduction to the Lycan king of Moon Gold pack. Her mother, Luna Collette frowned at the door that was at the end of the hall. She held her staff tight and precisely and she rolled her eyes. “This child has given me the most headache out of all her sisters. I can’t wait for her to get married and leave this palace so I can finally be at peace.” Lianna had probably ran with her friends to the supernatural borders to watch the humans. Humans? Yes, you read that right. In this world, humans and werewolves did not know each other. Humans had their world and werewolves had their world and both creatures were forbidden to mix. Humans had learned about werewolves in school but they did not know that werewolves existed, lived and breathed the same air as them. They thought it was just a fable and fallacy. The men were taught that female werewolves were very beautiful and striking, and it was true. They had extra long, shiny and healthy hair and their teeth were immaculate white and their eyes piercing. Luna Collette was the queen and Luna of Moon Twilight pack. She ruled alongside her Alpha, Alpha Cole. She and her husband had eight female children and one male child. Luna collette was extremely beautiful with long blonde and flowing hair. All her eight daughters were equally very beautiful but Lianna was the most beautiful. She multiplied her mothers beauty ten times and she caught the eye of the lycan king when he came to visit. She had not yet had her wolf, nor was she yet mated to anyone and despite her mothers pleadings for the girl to get a bit older, the lycan king was not having it. He insisted it had to be Lianna. Alpha Cole and Luna Collette were forced to agree. They needed supplies from Lycan King Jaxel’s pack. He was powerful, evil, mighty and extremely wealthy. He was one of the only wolves that had a connection with humans and did business with them. Did I say connection and business? Yes! You see, only a few wolves were allowed to mingle with the humans and the humans were not aware that they were wolves. Only men were allowed. It was easy for Lycan King Jaxel because of his Lycan Heritage. Few other wolves called middlemen were allowed too, but it was strictly for business. You would be given a human profile and some money and you would be taught on how the human world worked. All of this was possible because the mayor of the human town was also a wolf. The female wolves and the little male wolves could only stand at the pack's supernatural border and stare. There was a bubble separating them. Once a female wolf had her wolf and became of age, she was allowed to go up into the human world and breathe the air of humans and look at them, maybe run around. She was to do this only in the forest and come back in an hour. She was not permitted to go too close to any human, sniff them or leave the forest borders. After an hour, she would then come back into the wolf world. The middle man would bring goodies from the human world into the wolf world. They would also act as messengers, family members and children to the higher wolves that had businesses to clear the doubt of suspecting eyes. Sometimes the middle men would gather the children and tell them stories of all the wonderful things that took place out there. The bubble showed the humans that passed at the time because Liannas’s pack was close to a recreational park. The bubble was transparent and hard. It could only be broken with magic. Oh! How Lianna wanted to wear heals and strut the streets like the human girls. She wanted to wear her hair fancy like them and hold those rectangular things the human girls always held and spoke to. “Mmmm, what did that middle man call that thing again?” Lianna would ask herself sometimes. It was called a phone! Lianna remembered. One of her besties that was a human would tell her stories of the human world and bring gifts for her from time to time. She was obsessed. The wolves in Lianna’s pack lived a kind of antique life. There were no electronics or television. They had palaces and cottages and schools. Humans were more advanced than them. Lianna’s pack was a small weak one, so her father would depend on other packs to help them out. Wolves were also forbidden to talk about humans loudly. Any talks of humans were done in secret and during business. Middle men were forbidden to fall in love with, or mate with human girls. They could have them as friends but they were forbidden to be too close to them or reveal anything to them. If they tried to fall in love, marry or run away with the humans, they will be killed and disgraced in the pack. The mayor was secretly a wolf and he had access to black magic so he would fish out who tried to run away and expose werewolves. Before you could even say anything about werewolves to humans you would vanish or become dumb. Then for those that tried to mate with humans, you will be granted mercy and you will be allowed to come back into the pack and then you will be cast rated and unable to have children for life. Wolves here walked on all four during the night not legs after you had your wolf but your face remained human. Then in the day you would take your human form. The little ones had tails that came out at night to at least show you were a human. Lianna’s sisters had all had their wolves and gone to the real world but none of them were interested in it like Lianna. Her sisters mocked that her wolf delayed to come early because if she did,she would try running into the human world. She would dream of marrying a human and her sisters asked her not to say it out loud. She went to the borders everyday to watch them and wanted to swim, play, put make up on and play in roller skates in the park like other kids. She saw humans with dogs in leashes and asked her middle man friend about it one day. “Are those another kind of wolves? Are they slaves? Why do they tie their neck?” Her friend laughed. “No Lianna, they are puppies. They are loved, cuddled and they live with human as support animals. The are called pets.” Lianna was shocked. “Oh…why can’t we be pets too?” Her friend had to change the topic if not she would keep asking till the next day. “Oh! Inquisitive little cat! Some questions are just meant not to be answered.” All wolves also had a monitor on them. This monitor would help them not to escape or try to mingle or talk about the werewolf world with humans. Why wolves hid themselves? No one knew. Those that knew chose not to speak on it. And the people that knew were the leaders and the high executives. Why the mayor lived in the real world? No one knew too. Now, there was this particular human boy that Lianna had a crush on. It was the son of the billionaire businessman, the CEO of Bloom Business Enterprises. He would come to the park to inspect the area from time to time. He was tall, had a chiseled jaw and a defined face. He also had pillowy lips, striking green eyes and shiny black hair. He also had a toned body and always dressed in black and white. This boy did things to Lianna’s heart. Whenever Lianna saw him, she wished to hug and hold him. She even drew him and had his portrait hidden under her bed. Lianna fantasized about him and always went to the supernatural borders to see if he would come. She even knew his name—Ethan. She told no one this secret. The only person that was aware was her mother, Luna Collette. Luna Collette walked up to Lianna’s room and jiggled the door handle, she found it locked. She groaned in annoyance and reached into her hair. She then withdrew a pin to pick the lock. The handle clicked and the door swung open and she wa slammed in the face with a divine smell of chamomile and lavender. It was a perfume from the human world. Luna Collette quickly picked up the perfume from the human world. She knew of her daughters obsession with humans and also wanted her to marry the lycan king with hopes that it would stop before she got into trouble. “Lianna! What is wrong with you? What if someone sees you? You know you’ll be in trouble.” Lianna sat at the door of the bed wrapped in a white sheet, hair and skin disheveled. She looked at her mother and her eyes grew wide. She then sat upright. “Good morning mom.” Her mother began to arrange the room while speaking to her. “Prepare, dear, Lycan king Jaxel is on his way.” Lianna’s heart stopped beating for a while. So it was true? She would really get married to the old man? Not even as an official wife but a concubine.
