Stumbling, I nearly fell on my ass as I opened my apartment door. The guy's hands on my hips were the only things stopping me from falling all the way to the floor. He was strong enough to stop me from falling. Although he wasn't all that steady on his feet either. Honestly, it was a wonder we had made it from the bar to my apartment on his motorcycle. Although the ride wasn't that long, only a mile or two, neither one of us wanted to walk it. Our only thoughts were on relieving each other of our clothes, and even the drive over took way too long. Laughing, I kicked my shoes off while he shut the door. Again his hands were the only things keeping me from falling over as I moved through my apartment, leading the way to my room. My roommate wasn't home, leaving the apartment to just the two of us. Not that I had originally planned on bringing someone back to the apartment with me when I went out. Especially not someone I didn't actually know. The only things I knew about the guy were that he was damn hot, a member of the local biker club, and his friends all called him Iron. But let's be honest, that's all I needed to know in my drunken state. Well, that and he was into me and all for having some fun.

Walking backward, I worked on removing his pants. As I worked, he pulled his cut off, laying it over the back of my computer chair just inside my room. Kicking the door closed behind him, he pulled his shirt over his head, tossing it to the floor. Grabbing me, he spun us around, so I was facing my bedroom door. Gently he pushed me forward. Reaching out, I used the door to keep me steady as he pulled the zipper down on my dress. As my dress fell, his hands moved to my bra, unclasping it before he spun me back around, pinning me to the door. My dress and bra both landing at my feet. His mouth covered mine just as he gripped my thighs and lifted me off the floor. My legs and arms went around him instantly. The move made him more unsteady than he already was. Stumbling slightly, he barely got us turned back around and over to my bed before we both fell. My back landing on the bed with him landing on top of me. The rest of the night was a blur of our naked bodies, sweat, and me really being happy my roommate wasn't home to hear the two of us. The next morning was filled with regret as I woke up alone. Rolling over in bed, I took in the fact the guy I had brought home had left sometime after I had fallen asleep. All of his clothes, along with him, were gone. The only thing letting me know I hadn't dreamed of him was the ache between my legs and the hangover I would have to deal with for the rest of the day. Sighing, I climbed out of my bed, pulling the sheet with me, wrapping it around my body. I don't know why I would expect him to be here still. Neither of us had anything as far as a relationship other than hooking up. So really, it was to be expected he didn't stay. Gathering clothes, I headed out of my room and to the bathroom I shared with my roommate. Thankfully she still wasn't home, so she wouldn't have seen or heard anything. My regret would be mine alone to bear unless I chose to share it with anyone. And chances of that would be next to never. Not even the friends I had gone out with the night before would ever know I actually hooked up with the guy I left with. They didn't need to know. As far as they knew, I was leaving and heading home on my own. My plan was to leave it that way. Taking a shower, I washed the night off me. When I was dressed, I headed back to my room and began pulling the sheets off my bed, and started washing everything. The whole time I mentally berated myself. How could I do something so stupid? What was I thinking? Obviously, I wasn't thinking. Bringing a guy home like that was not something I ever did, nor did I think I ever would. So why did I do it? Because I deserved to have a little fun and excitement in my life. My last couple of relationships ended with the guys telling me I was boring and predictable. So apparently, in my drunken state last night, I decided to show them. Which really, what did I think I was showing them? Neither one of my exes was there to see me leave with the guy. And since I planned on nobody finding out about my one-night stand, my whole "I will show them" was pointless. "Lexie…You home?" Shaking off my bad mood, I poked my head out of my room. "Anne…where else would I be on a Sunday?" Smiling, she shrugged. "I don't know, out with some rich hot guy that has a single, rich, hot friend you can hook me up with." Shaking my head, I walked out of my room the rest of the way to greet my roommate and friend. Anne and I have been friends since we were in diapers. Both of us moved a couple of towns away from where we grew up and moved in together while she went to college and I went to beauty school. Both of us working part-time jobs at the same time to make ends meet. My schooling didn't take nearly as long as hers was taking, and I was now working full-time at a salon while she was still getting her bachelor's degree in accounting. Neither one of us having any luck with boyfriends. "How was your visit home?" Hugging each other, Anne shrugged her shoulders. "Oh, you know, mom and dad fighting the whole time. Ben, acting like the hormonal teenager you would expect him to be." Laughing, I nodded. "Ah yes, one of the many reasons I don't go back to visit. Then I don't have to deal with all that." Rolling her eyes, she carried her bag into her room, dropping it at the door. "Oh, whatever. It was always just your mom and you. What family drama do you have?" Laughing, I nodded. "Your right. Maybe I should be the one to go back for visits and not you." Both of us laughed together as we plopped down on the couch. I loved my mom and missed seeing her every day, but as long as I called her at least once a week, she didn't demand that I drive up for a visit as often as Anne's mom did. Not that I wouldn't go and visit her, but between the two of our schedules, it didn't make visits as easy. "So, what did you get up to while I was gone?" Shrugging, I did my best not to make eye contact with her. She would know instantly if I tried lying to her while looking her in the eye. "Nothing much. Went out with Laura, Sandy, and Kate." All three of us had gone to beauty school together and gotten close. Anne nodded, "Oh, fun. Did you meet anyone new?" Shrugging my shoulders, I did my best not to let my regret from my actions bleed through as I answered her. "It was alright. Wasn't a bad night. Got a little too drunk and came home early." Slowly she nodded her head as she watched me. I am sure she already knew there was more to my story, but luckily she must have sensed I didn't want to talk about it and didn't push. "Right…You hungry, I'm hungry. We should order in tonight." Smiling at my friend, I was grateful for her not prying into what happened and changing the subject. "Oh, we should get pizza." Jumping up off the couch, she gave me a duh look. Already pulling her phone out of her pocket to call our favorite pizza place to have our usual delivered. We order from them so often they knew both of us by name and voice. All we had to do was call and say we wanted our usual, and they would have a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese delivered to our apartment in thirty minutes. It was enough time for Anne to get changed out of the clothes she traveled in and into sweats and a T-shirt. While she did that, I got the television on and set so we could watch the newest episodes of our favorite show, The Umbrella Academy. Answering the door when our pizza arrived, I thanked the delivery guy as I took the pizza from him. As I closed the door, Anne was already in the kitchen grabbing both of us paper towels and drinks. Both of us getting to the couch at the same time. Moving on from my one-night stand, I let life go back to normal for me. There was no way to go back and do that night over again. And with no word or sighting of Iron, as his friends called him, there was no point in caring. I went back to my day-to-day and forgot about him. He obviously didn't care to get to know me more than what he had. And let's be honest, I liked my life the way it was, even if all my exes thought I was too predictable. I loved my life and was happy with where I am with it currently. Besides, I was only twenty-two. I had more than enough time in my life to find someone that likes me for me. I had no plans of ever having a one-night stand again. I didn't like the feeling I was left with the day after. And I wasn't really open to dating currently. I was happy being single at the moment. I had a job where I could schedule my appointments for the clients I had and set my own hours. So long as I could pay for my space at the beauty salon, it didn't matter how many hours a day I worked. With that being said, I usually had set hours anyway just to keep me from becoming lazy. Along with the hand full of regulars I had, I left a couple of hours open for any walk-ins the salon had. If I was lucky, I could turn those walk-ins into regulars for me. My day was scheduled like any other day. My one and only appointment was at nine in the morning. I would spend a good couple of hours with her. We were bleaching her hair from black to blonde, then coloring it multiple colors like a rainbow. She was also wanting me to cut and style her hair. Even though a job like this takes so long, I loved them and was always up for the challenge. And like any other Wednesday, Anne was still home when I was getting ready for work. All other weekdays she was up and out before I was awake. But Wednesdays were her late days, meaning she only had classes today and only for half the day. She would also be home by the time I got home because she didn't have to work today. While I finished getting ready for work, Anne walked around the apartment, taking inventory of our supplies and putting together a list of things to pick up from the store. It was her turn to buy the essentials. You know, things like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, trash bags, tampons, that sort of thing. Since those items could add up, we took turns restocking them. I restocked last month, so this month it was her turn. "Did you have another box of tampons you used last month?" Anne walked out of our shared bathroom, holding up a half-empty box of tampons. We went through a whole box every month between the two of us. And thankfully, we both liked the same ones, so buying a box a month was perfect for us. Her question had me stilling as I bent over to tie my shoes. My mind raced, counting back to when my last period was. I have always been regular, so much so I never thought about when my period was. Only that I would have one once a month, and four days later, I would be done. "Lex?" Shaking my head, I stood up from the couch. "No….I have to go. I will talk to you later." Grabbing my bag, I rushed out of the apartment before she could respond to me. If my math was correct, I should have had my period two weeks ago. My one-night stand was almost exactly a month ago. This so could not be happening. I was officially freaking out. How had I not realized I was so late? I am sure the guy used a condom. I remember him putting one on at the beginning. Didn't he? I am sure he did. I know that night was a bit of a blur, and I don't remember everything, but I am sure he would have used a condom.
