Amanda’s POV
Having a nice bedroom in a cozy ambiance doesn’t guarantee you a good night’s sleep. I’ve been trying to put myself to sleep, even counting sheep from one to a hundred, and a hundred to one, but to no avail.
I opened my eyes and looked at the high ceiling above me. I remember our shabby house, how our roofs almost touched our heads. Even though our family-sized bed cannot compare to this king-sized bed where I am lying on my head, at least, I don’t sleep alone.
I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but since I became pregnant, I do not want to sleep alone. Sleeping with my family isn’t a problem, since the three of us sleep together. Even when I am confined in the hospital, I can sleep well knowing that, at least, there is someone who accompanies me to sleep.
