Not Good

You know those really Cliche' days where you wake up thinking it's going to be a good day, then thunder rumbling in the sky and lightning flashes through the window, like Mother Nature's saying 'f**k you!'? Yeah, that was today. Lily and I had planned on forcing the boys to go outside and come play muggle football today, then the thunder came crashing saying "You think so huh?" Then the lightning was like "I don't think so!" So. . . Yeah. Actually, since it was Saturday and we had no real responsibilities to attend to, Lily and I dressed in our favorite muggle clothing. Right now I was sitting in Jaspers lap, playing with his fingers which were laying in my lap. Lily and Remus were reading books - the same book mind you, they were going to discuss the book and its plot afterwards - Elliott and Rhys were playing exploding snap, whilst Jasper and I were just chatting. "What are you thinking about doing after Beaverstone?" I asked. Looking up into his hazel coloured eyes. "I want to become an Soldier like my parents. What about you?" He replied, speaking into my hair. "I'd like to become a healer, but an Soldier sound fun too" I said, drifting off into thought. “We could be Soldiers together. Then later on we'll get married, have kids! We'll have a boy that looks like me and a girl that looks like you, they'll grow up with the best parents ever.” "Yeah, and the little girl will be daddy's little girl" I joked. "Definitely. What would you name them if we had kids?" Jasper asked. I paused for a moment, thinking, the thought never really occurred to me before. “Well, this being completely hypothetical.” I teased "I'd want to name the girl September Lily. and the boy, Mason Remus. But it's still quite early to be talking about kids" Jasper smiled at me, not a smirk or a grin, but a smile. "I like the sound of that" He said to me. I smiled, Jasper leaned down and kissed me gently. It was going to take a while to get used to that, I was blushing brighter than the sun. "Heh-hem" Someone cleared their throat. "Rule number one! No kissing in front of me" Remus reminded us. Jasper and I broke apart and I stuck my tongue out at Remus, who did the same at me. The common room door opened, revealing Professor Morgan. She smiled slightly at the sight of us. While she may be stern and very to the point, Morgan had a soft side, especially for Voyagers. "Miss Lawrence? You are needed in Daedalos' office" She told me. My eyes widened and I looked around at my friends, who looked back at me. "What did you do this time?" Lily asked me suspiciously. "I can assure you Miss Hart, Miss Lawrence has done nothing wrong, This time" Morgan assured her, smiling the tiniest bit. "I'll be back guys" I said to my friends. I pecked Jaspers cheek quickly and left with the Professor, waving goodbye to them as I climbed through the portrait hole. "Professor Morgan? Do you know why Professor Daedalos needs me?" I asked “Are you absolutely sure I haven't done something wrong?” Genuinely, I was worried. I loved this school and if for some reason I was being expelled it would break my heart. "It has something to do with you being Kekarin" She told me, but didn't say anything else. Something to do with me being Kekarin? That could mean dozens of things! Daedalos told me that there are a lot of things that I don't know about myself Maybe this was my chance to learn more. But what if he's going to tell me something bad? What if he's going to tell me that I'm too dangerous to go to school any more? ENOUGH SHIYLOH! It's Daedalos! He knows that Remus is a werewolf, he's still aloud to go. Yeah, but I'm different No one's the same. By the time I was knocked out of my thoughts, we'd reached Daedalos' office and Morgan wasn't there any more. My heart jumped fearfully in my chest as I I took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Pushing my irrational fears back, walked in. Everything is going to be okay. "You wanted to see me Professor?" I asked. But no one was there. The office was eerily empty. The only one that was there, was Fawkes the phoenix, who was on his perch, looked as beautiful and as majestic as ever. His head was held high in the air as he let out a squawk for attention. I slowly walked over to him, ignoring the fact that the office was empty when Daedalos was supposed to be in here with me. "Hello there" I smiled, petting his beautiful bright orange feathers. He nudged his head up into my palm, seeking more attention, which made my heart swell. But then, he did something weird, his bright Orange-y red eyes looked at my brown eyes, then he bowed his head to me. What is going on?! First the Merpeople, now Fawkes! What in the actual- "Ah, Miss Lawrence! I see you have met Fawkes" A wise old voice startled me out of my confused thoughts. I jumped away from the bird, my hand moving up to my chest as I breathed heavily. I pushed hair out of my face and looked at Daedalos, who had suddenly appeared. "I'm sorry to disturb Professor. But Professor Morgan said that you wanted to see me Sir" I said hastily, making sure that I wasn't going to get in trouble for disturbing him. "Yes I did. I have something very important to discuss with you, it's a conversation that's long overdue. I'm guessing you've noticed the way the Fawkes is around you? Submissive?” I nodded. "I thought as much. Have you also noticed, how other creatures act around you? Merpeople, Centaurs?” I nodded again. "Does this have anything to do with me being Kekarin Sir?" I asked. "Yes, It does Shiyloh.” His eyes twinkled under his glasses “You've noticed. You see, the Kekarin were not very well known, they hid in their own space and didn't let anyone in. Except, for one person. Alastair Voyage." I stopped my fiddling and listened more closely as he continued. "Alastair Voyage met the Kekarin because he'd been given a Prophecy about one of their offspring. The Kekarin were the leaders of animal kind. All magic animals around the world." "W-What?" I asked, I wasn't sure if I'd heard him right. All magic animals? "It was said, that the Kekarin descended from the Gods themselves. That they led the magical animal kind into peace with the humans. They were the rulers, but they ruled in mercy and kindness. They had never seen war and never brought it to their people. Many people looked up to their culture, they were commonly known throughout the wizarding world that the Kekarin were the kindest of all accepted Gods.” Now, I was getting interested. "The Alastair Voyage spoke to the Elders of the Kekarin, and convinced them to come and teach at Beaverstone in it's young age. The Kekarin agreed, hoping that they could share their knowledge with the world. But one of the founders didn't like this prospect" He said gravely. "Three guesses who" I muttered and despite the grim subject, Daedalos grinned at me. "Caesar Evilian despised the Kekarin and wanted to take their power for themselves, for reasons that were unknown to the other founders. So, a war was brought out by Caesar himself. The Founders had to choose sides, and even though they wanted so deeply for their colleague Caesar to end the war, they joined the side of the Kekarin because they couldn't stand by Caesar as warred against the Kekarin. They fought for many ages after Caesar left the school, the Kekarin were slowly killed off one by one until there was all but very few left. Alastair Voyage, Genevieve Thorne and Cosmina Lovelace came together to protect them, putting up a magical barrier in to keep the last of the Kekarin safe." "What- What happened to them?" I asked, my voice was shaking more than I thought that it would. "They were killed off. The child of the Prophecy was presumed lost for centuries. But what the Founders didn't know, was that a group of Magical creatures came together to protect the last few Kekarin that lived. The Phoenix's" Fawkes nudged me, I smiled and petted him. "The Merpeople, The Centaurs, The Hippogriffs, Giants" My eyes widened at that " Dragons, The Thestrals, The Sphinx and The Unicorns. In doing so, they each gave the Kekarin Magical abilities. The Phoenix's gave the ability of flight, the Merpeople gave the ability to communicate and breathe under water, The centaurs gave the Seer ability, the Hippogriffs and Giants gave the ability of strength, the Dragons Gave the Ability of Fire, the Sphinx gave them extreme Intellect and the Unicorn gave the ability of healing. But no one Kekarin is know to have these abilities. Until now. Shiyloh, you have gained half of those abilities and may gain more." "I- I- What?" I breathed. "Yes Shiyloh, I will help you get through this, but there is something else you should know "Yeah?" I said nervously "The Prophecy was never concluded and you are the last Kekarin" My heart was beating so fast I thought it would explode from my chest. My hands started shaking as I stared at Daedalos.
