7. Pearl

I ran to my room, I was so embarrassed. How could my dad say such things in front of my mate. I know he meant them, but I didn't.

I don't think that I should be alone and not be with any one, especially not my mate for the rest of my life, and now that I just found him.

Enya was pissed, she trolled around in my head, trying to get out and go launch at my dad.

Enya, Calm down and let me think, we have to be smart about this. We have to prove to dad that we can have both, great powers and a mate. He’s s a powerful Alpha for goddess sake.

There was a knock on my door. and it slowly opened. "are you okay?" Lauren dropped her head in.

"yes I'll be fine. it was just dad words, they really hit me hard this time. I know that mom and dad believe that I am some special being, but I am also just a girl who likes boys."

"I know sweetie, but if it makes you feel better, I think that Aaron also took it hard. I saw the way he looked at you, when dad talk about you, and I also saw his face when you ran out. It was like dad had punched him in the stomach.

"really, your not just saying that to make me fell better are you?"

Lauren smiled "no I am not, I think he likes you" she leaned in and hugged me.

There was another knock on the door, and Gabby stood in the doorway. "I need to talk to guys, could you come into the living room, the other are already there.

Lauren and I looked at each other with a questionable look in our eyes. we parted and followed Gabby into the living room.

"Okay, girls", Gabby started, She looked like she was about to burst of joy. "so I just talked to mom, and she told me why Alpha Bain and Alpha Aaron is here.

"Dad already told us, it’s in the interest of our packs future" Alba cut in.

"well yes, but he didn't tell us in what way" Gabby smirked.

"Dad and Alpha Bain, thinks that it would be a great idea, if Alphas Aaron was to mate one of us.

"WHAT!" we all shouted in unison .

Hadley jump up and started dance on the spot. "I call deeps, he is so handsome".

"You can’t t call deeps Hadley", Lauren stood up and looked at Grabby, "please tell me you know more?"

"well. Gabby continued, "since mom and dad only have daughters, and Alpha Aaron is the second son of their pack, and his brother has already taken the Alphas position of their pack, Aaron is just alpha by blood, but he is well trained, powerful, skilled and trained to be an Alpha.

So by mating one of us, our pack would get an Alpha to take over after dad and the power and the bloodline will stay in our family."

"and what does Aaron think about it?", I asked, with a big knot in my stomach and tears pushing behind my eyes. hoping nobody could hear it in my voice, that I was about to fall apart.

"well, according to mom, he doesn't know yet, Gabby stated. " Dad and Alpha Bain has a meeting with him today."

"by one of us, who do you mean? all of us or just you, Hadley and Malena, Alba asked, "I guess Pearl is not in the mix."

"yes, It´s me, Hadley and Malena, you and Lauran already have mates and Maria is to young and Pearl is - "too special"".

"why cant Luke and Lauren just take over as Alpha and Luna, Maria softly spoke.

"I don't know, maybe because Luke just became Beta, after his father, and is not ready yet for the responsibility, and dad wants to retire soon, and Alpha Aaron is already ready.

"I didn't ask. okay. I just thought that this was a way for me to become the rightful Luna, since I am the first born."

I didn't hear the rest of the conversation, I just walked out.

I marched over to the office building, I needed to talk to Aaron, he needs to reject me, and leave, I cant have my mate, mating with one of my sisters, and become the Alpha of my pack.

I know we haven't had any time to talk, I keep running away from him, so I don't really know how all of this effects him.

I snug past my dads office, the door was opened a little bit, I could hear him talking on the phone with someone. I went up the stairs to the first floor, where visitors stayed. I know the two first room, one on each side of the hall, are the biggest with king size bed and associated bathrooms. Visiting Alpha usually stays there, the other rooms down the hall, only have queen size bed and sharing baths between them. I just have to figure out which one of the larger room Aaron would be in.

I heard talking in one of the rooms, I recognize Shane's voice as one of them, so I burst right in and yell " We need to", but before I get to finish my sentence, I see something that I guess, I was not suppose to see. I quickly turned around and attempted to run down the hall, but before I can go anywhere, I am being held back with two strong hands around my waits, lifted up and pulled back into the room. The door closes behind me.

The strong body slowly put me down, and I turn to face them. " I am so sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt what ever this is" I said, looking down, trying to cover my eyes with my hands. I can feel my cheeks redden.

In front of me was Shane and Beta Kyle, with no shirts on, and pants unbuttoned.

Beta Kyle was the one who had lifted me back into the room, so he was closest, he was a least a foot taller then me, about 6,3, tan with blue eyes and short blond groom hair, not a hair out of place, and a big smile on his face. " don't worry about it" he said, and took my hands away from my eyes.

Shane was behind him, buttoning his pants and trying to location his dress shirt. He found a t-shirt and tossed it to Beta Kyle. Shane had his back to us, so I could see he had scars on his back, probably from a wipe or knife cuts, something silver I guess, since silver leaves marks, that us wolfs have a hard time healing from. He wasn't as tall as Beta Kyle, maybe 5,9. He was tan and muscular in a lean way, Brown hair with highlights and big brown eyes.

"what are you doing here, and who do you need to talk to so badly ?" Beta Kyle asked.

"No one" I said, "I must have walked to fare and into the wrong building" I lied

"Yeah that's a lie, we all know that, Shane smirked from behind. "You though this was Alpha Aarons room, why do you need to talk with him?"

"would you believe, that I wanted to apologies to Aaron for my behavior this morning?" I asked

"maybe, but why?" he asked.

"hey Shane, leave the pure girl alone, she must have her reasons, to burst into an Alphas room with out warning, and also to my knowledge never have spoken to him before" Beta Kyle said with a questionable smirking look on his face.

"well, yes and no" I said hoping the floor would cave under me, and bury me in the rubbles. "is he here" I whispered

"No, he is out with Beta Luke, inspecting your pack ground security. he´ll be back around one, he has a meeting with your dad and Alpha Bain. " you can speak to him later a dinner, I guess"

"So he doesn't know yet? I said with maybe to must excitement in my voice"

"know what?" Shane and Beta Kyle said in unison

"nothing" I said, turning around, grabbing the door handle, "I have to go, Sorry again by the way,

I left to go find Aaron and Beta Kyle, but outside the office building I ran into Doctor Sherman, who were so kind to remind me, that I had rounds in the infirmary, so off to work instead.
