Lavender, Roses, chocolate and Morning dew, are what I smell the moment I step off that elevator. My brother begins to approach me but I don't even realize it until he is right in front of me.
"Artemis, Artemis hello?!" he waves his hands back and forth in front of my face.
"What?!" I get annoyed with him distracting me from that wonderful smell.
"I have been calling you for a good 5 minutes with no response! Anyway Abbigale is at home with the child," he tells me.
"Not now," I sigh when he gives me a puzzled look so I explain. "I need to concentrate."
He sighs and gives up on distracting me. He hates me having these tournaments. I ignore him and walk up to the stage. As soon as I am there everyone stops talking. I turn on the microphone and adjust the angle a bit.
"Thank you all for coming," I began. "Now I know some of you have come for power, while others just a glimpse of me, and yet some have come to see if I am the mate they are waiting for, and lastly there are those who were forced to come by there parents. For whatever reason you are here fight with Honor and may the best wolf win."
London begins to come up to the stage to lay down the rules of the tournament. "As you all know this is a tournament to find out if any of you are my Sisters mate. But also to keep peace between all packs in North America. As we all know only the true mate of a Alpha female can make her submit and tame the beast inside her. At the end of this tournament my sister will come out to the ring in front of the winner in wolf form and fight the winner.
As always it is first blood," he finishes.
As we are walking off stage to go up to the viewing platform to get a better view, it hits me again. Lavender, Roses, chocolate and Morning Dew. I look around again to see if I can find the source and lock eyes with a man who takes my breath away.
'Mate' Lavette says.
'Maybe if he wins' I tell her.
'There is no 'if' he will win' she tells me. 'He will claim us, and he will love us. He will be good for us, you will see. He will help heal you heart,' she tells me.
'Shut up! Don't even go there Lavette!' I clench and unclench my fist.
'He wasn't our tr-' she starts but I cut her off and focus on the fighting and notice it is now down to my mate who was black of fur and with a white star on his left ear and one other wolf who was dark brown with black patches here and there. They circled each other for a couple of minutes before the brown wolf lunges forward and attempts to bite my mate. He dodged in the nick of time and bites the brown wolf on the flank drawing blood. Just like that it is over.
(Sorry this chapter is so short I was in a bit of a rush. I will update another chapter on Thursday look forward to.)
