 “Looks like you have a great time beating up everyone that is matched against you but this time will be different. I will make sure to end your streak here.” Kresha said to Kris who is not interested in her grumble and just shove it in the back of his head and gives her an uninterested look. “Wow, that’s just so grand that it makes me want to cry. Can we start now? My day is ruined already and I don’t want you add to my irritation.” Kris said as he immediately uses the spell doppelganger.

               “Eh? You want to overwhelm me like what you did to Duke? I admit that I was scared when I saw you controlling those sixteen doppelgangers but now I just feel nothing.” She mutters with a sleek smile but Kris shakes his head. “Wrong, this guy over here is actually stop me from overdoing anything. And because I am terribly pissed, you will be the one on the receiving end of this anger. Since it was your organization to begin with.”

               Kresha’s eyes widened when she heard what Kris just said and then remembered what their leader had told them the night before. [Don’t tell me, Acacia failed?!] her senses screamed danger as she immediately move her body out of the way without realizing it. “What is it now? I thought you are going to break my streak here?” Kris asked with a bitter tone as he retrieves his feet after stomping it on the ground and produce and ice blast towards Kresha.

               “What in the world did that guy do now? Without magic circles?” James nearly jump from his seat when Kris tapped into the creation of magic without the guidance of magic circles. “There is no need to be surprised. Luna does that all the time without even realizing it right? But Kris is able to do it as well. And besides, he already told us how to tap into the summoning of magic one time right? But you idiots want to go on with that f*******n spell so he switch to that topic when us girls are drawn into it.” Flora said to James who is still recalling the time when he gave them this lecture.

               “When was that?” James ask out of confusion. “Sigh! That was a few months back. I recall him saying something like ‘If you want to tap into summoning things that only magic circles can summon, then you will be the gateway for that summoning.’ Or something like that.” Flora said as she is even confused of what she just told them. “No way, I think I get it now. He is using his body as a medium for the summoning of ice! He is the magic circle himself!” James quickly finds out the reason and is astonished as to how Kris manage to do it so easily.

               “That explains how the ice  blasted from his foot. It must require an amazing amount of concentration, we should also applaud Luna for doing that easily like its next to breathing.” Johannes said as he tries to do the same. A small layer of ice appear on the surface of his hands. “Looks like this is pretty hard.” He turns to the others who are now interested in that method but they have to wait for Kris to explain everything at the end of the day.

               “What is it now? I thought you are going to break my streak so why aren’t you moving? If you don’t move, you will easily get blasted away with anything.” Kris said with a cold tone as he walk towards Kresha and leaves a burning trail of footsteps along the way. [Are you flexing you mana? But still- that way of mana is not something that is taught to us in our first years so how is he able to do that so easily?!] she thinks to herself as she felt helpless in front of him who can easily use any kind of spell that he wants without even chanting a spell.

               [If I attack hastily without thinking about it, I might just be digging my own grave.] she thinks to herself as she walks back a few steps. “That’s quite a way to expend your mana. Do you really think that you can intimidate me enough with just that? You need more than that to scare me off.” Kresha said, keeping her confidence in her self.

               “What in the world did that young man know how to do that? I thought that method is not taught until their third years so how did he manage to tap into that?” the female hero ask the headmaster in her thoughts but the headmaster is equally surprised and baffled by what Kris showed them. “I don’t know it myself. He is that kind of student that continues to surprise us everything after all. That may be why I need to interrogate him later after the competition. I want you heroes to witness it as well, that way you will all know what the truth is.” The headmaster responded.

               [Will you look at that. He is doing it just like the princess does, that is not just any other mage can do you know?] Libo thinks to himself as he marvels at Kris’ performance. “Now I want to have that kid under my wing as well. This year is really interesting, with so many talents just waiting to be fished. I wonder if the headmaster will get mad if I snatch his students away from him.” He smiles as the match continues.

               BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

               Kris fires countless ice blades towards Kresha who immediately erects a wall of raging flames in front of her to melt the ice. “Do you think that will be enough to block my attack?” Kris steps forward and immediately propels himself in the direction unprotected by the wall of flames, leaving an ice figure of himself. “Tsk!” Kresha clicks her tongue and erects another wall of flames but it was too late, he flames immediately died out the moment she chants the spell. “What in the world?-!” Kris makes a gesture with his hand and chants. “Complete counter.”

                              Notice: The spell ‘Complete counter’ is successful and erases the magic circles of the opponent.

               The system alerts Kris of the success but he is too angry to even acknowledge the announcement and just continues to attack Kresha endlessly. “Keuk!” she gets slammed on the floor after forcedly using her arms to defend against Kris’ attack. “That’s has to hurt. Taking a direct him from an earthen spike is quite bad, no matter how you look at it.” Ophir said after seeing Kresha rolls on the ground. “Looks like there is no one that can defeat him.” One of Edmond’s followers said but the latter immediately claims to be the one to defeat Kris. “Don’t forget about me, I will be the one to defeat him. We have been evading each other for a while. There is no way we will no get matched later.” Edmond says with a fierce tone and turns to his followers.

               “We both have our weapons, there is no way he will show everything that he has to everyone. He is sly like a fox as far as I can remember.” Edmond says with a smile on his face. “That’s it! You have been toying with me far too long!” Kresha screams and release a sound wave strong enough to push Kris back a little. “Looks like you decided to take this seriously. We are on the same page for the first time. It’s gotten pretty boring with only me on the offensive you know.” Kris’ doppelganger immediately walk towards him. “I did not do anything yet so why are you coming here?” Kirs asked his doppelganer but it just shrug it’s shoulders.

               “You have am mind of your own so don’t get me started, do you want me to cancel you out?” Kris said and the doppelganger immediately retreats. [This is the final moment when she is going to release her binds. She will unleash the limiter that their leader had used on them to hide their true strength from everyone but that also means that the headmaster and the opposing party will know your origin. I will severe your roots Black Hands, I will show you not to mess with me.] Kris slowly grins as the infuriation in Kresha’s face could not be hidden anymore.

               [I will face the consequence to the leader later. If I don’t kill this guy right now, the organization will surely suffer so much.] Kresha then rips a portion of her skin and show a hidden tattoo just like Kris and the others have on their hands. “Release seal.” She mutters and then a strong wave of aura exploded from her. “That is-!” some of the heroes exclaims after sensing the familiarity of the aura that she produced. Mephisto then turns his head towards her direction. “Rubic, so you have revealed your pawns.” He mutters coldly as he slowly makes his way to the arena but Clarence stops him from walking another step.

               “I think we should let them finish the match. Teachers are prohibited from interfering during a match.” He said while breaking some sweat as the figure of Mephisto in his eyes no longer resembles a human.

               GULP!

               [What in the world is he-? Even staring at him alone is enough to send shivers on my body. I have not felt this overwhelming presence at all, even Rubic’s aura doesn’t compare to this.] Mephisto continues to stare at him but then quickly removes his oppressing aura from everyone. “I will stand down but that student has some explaining to do later. You better not stop me during that time because if you do. You might get swept by my anger.” Mephisto said coldly with his piercing gaze.

               “This ends here. I will make sure to defeat you completely.” The air around Kresha became completely different after she released her seal. “That student’s mana doubled. So he used a sealing spell to hide her strength, that is so like him.” The female hero mutters.

               “Looks like he is done for. Kresha doesn’t really like releasing that spell but when she does, she ends up like bullying someone.” Duke says with a smile, certain of Kris’ defeat loudly for Johannes and the others to hear. “He has been spending his mana unintelligently earlier. He can easily be defeated with a single swing of her hands.” James and Ophir looks at him blankly and gives him the look that he doesn’t know what he says. “For someone to have been embarrassingly defeated, you sound so certain.” Johannes responded that immediately made James and Ophir to burst in laughter and anger Duke in the process.

               “You sounded happy that he might finally be defeated just because she released her seal? You must be dreaming, do you think she is the only one that has some hidden cards? Kris did not even showed us everything that he has so don’t speak like it’s already set in stone. Unless you want to embarrass yourself even more.” Duke could only grit his teeth in anger after what Johannes said to him.

               “What you do think will happen if I unleash my mana now? You who have been wasting your mana will easily be burned.” Kresha said with a smile, certain of her victory. “Hoh~ I want to see what you can do but let me ask you first. Do you know the extent of my mana? Because I can be certain of yours, its not even a fourth of mine.” Kris said but then he felt that mana is already conquering his body.

               “What were you saying just now?” Kresha grins maliciously as she burst in laughter as Kris drops his head down. “Look at you so cocky but-!” her eyes widen as she glances at the doppelganger that should have been cancel while she conquers his body using her mana. “Why? Why are you still here?” she mutters as her hands starts to shake terribly in fear but the doppelganger just tilts it’s head.

               “Should I disappear when you are that weak? He is just even playing with you and you got happy with just that. Looks like your happiness is too shallow. This is not even funny so stop it already.” Kris laughs hysterically while looking at the shocked and confused Kresha.

               “That young man is really something. I even got tricked.” The headmaster says inside his head as the other heroes also realize what just happened. “The reason why she did not manage to burn his mana because that is a hallow shell. She just attacked a doppelganger, the really Kris Grindall is the one standing. The entire duration of the match, Kresha has been fighting with a doppelganger.” Mephisto explains what he sees with his eyes to the other others who did not understand what just happened.

               “That’s just a genius move. He even fooled me.” James said as he turns back to Duke with grin. “Looks like he got everyone fooled, especially her.” The laughter could not be hidden from his face as he sees Duke fall in despair.

               “Do you want to know what really mana burn looks like?” Kris asked the still confused Kresha who falls on her knees after jeopardizing their organization for her selfish goals. [System, please release everything. Let’s show everybody what real mana burn looks like.]

               Answer: Affirmative. Initiating release.

               Every step that Kris make erases the mana around him and burns all the mana that he passes through, a phenomenon that is isible with the human eyes. “This is what real mana burn looks like.” Kris extends his hands and with a single swipe, the opposing mana from Kresha’s body disappears after Kris expands his influence.
