'I got your back.'

After Kris lost consciousness, the practical test continues with a new teacher replacing their original one as he send Mathos to the infirmary to look after him. “That was really interesting. I did not think that Kris would be able to pull it off.” One of the students admires Kris’ performance against one of the best students in their class.

               “I bet Johannes knows something as well. I feel a little afraid to face him all of the sudden." The student that will face Johannes mutters to the others after seeing his friend’s performance. [What the hell is this? I did not eve know that Kris would be able to pull it off on his own. So why am I in this situation?] Johannes thinks to himself as he see some of his classmates distancing themselves away from him and some tries to interrogate him if he knows something. But having no knowledge of what happened Johannes can only tell them to ask Kris himself when he wakes up.              

               At that moment, Kris manages to wake up and sees that he is already in the infirmary. The nurse that is looking after him immediately ask him if he is fine. “No- there are not much pain in my body. I just feel a little weak.” He said to the nurse who immediately hands him a glass of water. “Please drink water for now. I will call the head that you have waken up.”  The nurse then leaves Kris inside the infirmary to go fetch the head. [This body is really weak. Compared to what I was before I died, I have much more stamina and mana, I really need to get this body moving and trained. Otherwise I would just be fainting every time I exhaust my mana and energy.] Kris tells himself as he already thought of some ways for him to develop his body and mana when the head entered the infirmary.

               “Looks like you have awaken. Do you feel anything? Pain or dizziness maybe?” the head asks and Kris shook his head. “Then you are clear to leave the infirmary, I will inform your teacher that you have awaken so you can leave without any problem.” The head says as Kris thanks them for taking care of him before he leaves. “No problem at all. This is our job after all. “ the head flashes a smile at Kris as the young lad left the infirmary.

                [This is really bad, I have yet to gather my energy and mana and this weak body is having problems walking upright. Talk about weak pitiful.] he says to himself as he walks in the hallway and a group of people pulls him inside a room.

               ROLL! STUMBLE!

               “You really think you can get away with beating up Mathos huh? His family paid a huge sum for his advancement and you just went and screw it all up so before I get thrashed, might as well beat you up really good.” His teacher said as Kris grit his teeth in helplessness. [Shxt! Talk about shameless. Well, I can’t say I did not see this coming but why does it have to be so early. Guess I will have to experience pain huh?]

               BEAT! BEAT! BEAT! BEAT! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!

               The people then left the room and after a few moments later, some of the students that went inside the room to get some things we horrified when they saw Kris’ bloodied face and reports it to the infirmary. “Terrible, for people like them to do something like this to someone so defenseless after mana exhaustion. So shameless.” The head says as he wipes the blood from Kris’ face. “Nurse, please get the head master this instant. This crime can’t go unpunished.” The head says to the nurse who hesitantly leaves and Kris stops them. “Its fine Mr. I just slipped and slam my face on the floor.” Kris tries to lie of his injury but the nurse and the head doctor did not buy it.

               “Are you kidding me? Do you get a broken arm and a dislocated leg from slipping?” the head says and immediately piercing through Kris’ excuse. “Tell me, do you have any idea who did this to you? This is the royal academy, no matter who it is he will not go unpunished.” The head says but Kris is certain of his decision. “I am just a lowly lesser noble. Yes, we might be able to punish the ones who did this but what about my family? What would happen to them if the person decided to go after them? I am fortunate enough to get into the academy through my parent’s hard work but if I drag them along and harmed them for my actions then my conscience will not et me off easily.” Kris said and the head immediately understand the weigh on Kris shoulders.

               “Very well, if that is what you want then I will respect that.” The head says after wiping off the blood from him with a white clothes that now is stained red with blood. “Thank you very much for helping me Mr. I will leave now.” Kris says to the head before leaving the infirmary with a smile on his face. The head grabs Kris’ hands before he can walk away form the infirmary. “I know that I will not be of much help but I will be here to heal you every time you get injured. So don’t hold back and get stronger so that people will not be able to bully you.” The head said to Kris who immediately nods his head.

               “Thank you very much Mr. I will keep that in mind.” The head felt a little relieved after hearing those words from Kris. “Are you sure about what you are saying your highness? Will you not be facing some hardship of you help that kid?” the nurse asked the head doctor who then nods his head. “I know that I will be facing numerous hardships. As a figure that will lead the kingdom in the future, I need to learn of the people’s pain. That way I know how to deal and help the citizens.” The head doctor says as he enters the infirmary.

               “That is one of the things that the citizens are suffering from and I will not turn a blind eye from it.” He added as he takes of a fancy ring from his fingers. “I will take on these challenges as a normal citizen.” Seeing the determination in her master’s, the nurse also took off her ring and put it in her pocket. “If that is what you will then I will gladly follow you. As a descendant of the honorable Coran family, I will bring honor to my ancestors.” The nurse says as the head doctor pat her head. “You don’t have to go that far you know.”

               Kris then arrived in the room with a limping left feet and swollen face. His classmates along with Johannes is shocked to see his beaten face. “What the hell happened to you?!” Johannes ask Kris but he just flashes him a smile. “Don’t give me that shxt! Tell me what happened?!” Johannes’ eyes then widens when he realize that the teacher must have done something. [That bastard! I knew something was fishy when he entered the room wiping his hands off. Fxcking hell-!] his thoughts got interrupted when Kris grabs his shoulders. “There is no need to worry Johannes, I’m fine.” Kris says with a smile. Johannes immediately understands what Kris meant but his discomfort can not easily be quenched and glares at the teacher who is busy faking himself in writing some things.

               “Looks like the brat learned his lesson. This is really easy, I now have a kid to vent my anger to.] he thinks to himself and a smile crept on his face. [Smile now while you can you bastard, I will make you pay for abusing your power. Slowly and surely, I will savor your pain when you fall from that height.] Johannes can feel the animosity behind Kris’ gentle face. [Looks like I will not have to be worried about him after all. Go Kris, I will always be looking after your back. Let’s make these bastards pay.] Johannes could not help but flash a malicious smile as he clench his fist.

               The practical test ended and the teacher reviewed all their results and flashed them all on the billboard where other students can also see the results. “My, my- what an interesting result. Looks like someone is playing with the system of the academy.” The female student that watched the match between Kris and Mathos says to herself but then some of her followers express their disgust. “Only two advanced to our class? Really? Is that a joke? But then I guess we can finally see and meet the guy that was in the first match right? He might look a little weak but he fooled is with his last moves.” A student beside the female student says and she agrees.

               “Yeah, that would be pleasant experience. We can still train his skills and develop it for the better.” The female student leaves with the others with smiles on their faces.
