The bad boy

My alarm clock rings. Arrg I hate getting up in the morning. I slowly get out of bed and hope into a shower because I was to last to do so yesterday.. I should learn. After my shower I apply a light makeup and pick out a cute floral dress. As I walk out into the kitchen I see my dad standing their in his uniform. He must be going to work. ‘Good morning dad, are you going to work?’ I ask as I take a piece of bread. ‘Good morning sweetie. Actually I am just coming home for my shift. I will be having the night shifts as Dan my partner won’t be able to take those’ he says giving me a tired look. ‘But dad the streets are so dangerous at night. You know I already hate you being a cop let alone have the night shift!..’ I really hate that I has to work as a cop. You see my dad was a soldier before my mom passed, but he couldn’t risk being deployed leaving me all alone, so he applied for the police academy. All he ever wanted what to protect and serve his country. Don’t get me wrong it is cool, but I worry about him all the time. It is not like his job is safe! My dad gives me a small smile and says ‘honey you have to get going if you want to catch the bus’ I look at the clock and hurry to collect all my things. I kiss my dad goodbye and leave for the bus. Yep I still take the bus even though most of my friends have their own cars. I on the other hand am not allowed to drive a car. Dad doesn’t want me to take my drivers test and well to be honest we can’t really afford it. Dad does everything to keep us living nicely but after my mother dies after a long Illness, the hospital bills pilled up. Right as the bus arrives I notice a car coming with high speed. The driver a good looking boy around my age. Brown hair and brown eyes.How can he afford a car like that? I mean a Porsche after all is not cheap. As he passes the bus stop he waves at me as if I know him. The whole bus ride I spend thinking about that brown haired boy. Did I know him from school? No that can’t be. A boy like him does not seem to go to school. Like at all. He seemed like the typical bad boy. So if he does he sure does not show up at all. I am sure I would have known or seen him if that is. The school after all is not that big. The bus comes to a stop and I exit. As I stand in front of the school gates I take a deep breath. It’s not like I am popular. I am a nobody at school and I kinda like it like that. I have just two fiends Jonas and Kate. Jonas is a jog, but unlike any of the other jogs he cares about his grades. Kate on the other hand is like me nerdy but doesn’t dress it. We dress normal. We just care about our grades and actually do our homework. To others that means we are nerds. I enter through the school gates and notice my friends standing to the left of the main door. I wave at them making my way towards them. Ella - ‘ Hi guys are you ready for a new day?’ Jonas - ‘Hi Ella you look cute today! Jonas kinda asked me on a date a couple of times but we never went. He always ended up being to busy with school, work or his football. Not that I cared I am not sure we would work out as a couple if we tried. We did kiss once doing a dare, but neither of us talked about it after. Kate - ‘Jonas why don’t you ever give me compliments like you give Ella. You two should just hook up already! Arg let’s get to class or we will be late’. Ella - ‘You guys head to class I just have to pick up my book real quick. Will you cover for me if the teacher asks for me? ’ Jonas - ‘of course we will. We will save you a seat’. I head to my locker after saying goodbye to my friend. On my way there I notice the boy from the car earlier. He is talking to Brian our team captain aka the most popular guy at school. Wonder how they know each other? After picking up my book I hear the last warning bell. God I am going to be late yet again. In a rush I crash into something hard and fall to the ground. As I go to get up a hand helps me up. I look up to see the boy from earlier helping me. Brian - ‘Hey Liam before you go, I wanted to ask if you would come to my party tonight?’ Hmm so his name is Liam. It fits him quite well! Hot Liam. He sure does look like a Liam to me. Liam - ‘Is she going?’ He asks pointing at me. I go to answer no, but Brian cuts me of before I can. Brian - ‘Of course Ella is going right?’ Ella - ‘Parties aren’t really my thing’ Liam - ‘Well then I don’t think I can come sorry Brian’ Brian - ‘Come on Liam Ella is just joking everyone is coming to my party. Even her friends are!’ Liam - ‘Well then I guess I will be seeing you both tonight’ before he leaves he whispers to me ‘I can’t wait to see you!’ What the hell I am now late for class, made go to a party and centre of attention which I really hate. I go to class kinda mad but also feeling really good. A cute boy only wants to go to a party because of me. How can you not be delighted with that? Jonas - ‘where were you? And why do you look mad and have a blush on your face?’ Ella - ‘Brian just told someone named Liam that I would be going to his party because you guys are going. Why are you going?’ Kate - ‘Well Jonas has to because it is mandatory for all jogs, and well I want to hook up with someone finally. Like I want to have my first kiss tonight! I can’t wait any more. So don’t worry I will come over and give you a little makeover before we go tonight and we can have a little girls day.’ Ella - ‘Well okay I guess but I have to talk to my dad first you know!’ Kate - ‘You could just lie to your dad. That’s what I did!’ Kate Has really tried to change this year. She is trying to let loose a little which is quite good for her! The rest of the day went well, except I had to hear Jonas talk about how I should stay away from Liam at all cost and only stay by his side tonight. Something about Liam being a bad boy and involved with a gang. Apparently he is known for one night stands and stealing high end things. Maybe I should ask my father about this gang. Then I know if I should really stay away. Kate on the other hand kept telling me how exited she was for our girls day and how she would do my makeup. As Kate and I enter my home my dad greets us. Dad - ‘Hi girls did you have a good day at school?’ Kate - ‘Hi mr. Jennings we had a great day, and we even got invited to the football teams party tonight. Dad - ‘I don’t know if I should allow you to go Ella. I won’t be home tonight and I don’t want you to have to call a cab’ Kate - ‘Mr. Jennings you don’t have to worry Jonas already insisted on driving us’. Dad - ‘Well okay then. I trust Jonas to take care of my sweet little girl’ We go to my room and start getting ready. I stand there looking into the mirror. Damn I must admit Kate really can do magic with makeup because I look good. We both do. Kate - ‘ I know I know I am good’ she says smiling. Come one Jonas already texted me that he was outside.
