"I will have to do this myself. That old hag deserves to die. All the politicians must die!" He clenched his fists and stomped into the shower.

Jasmine is a senior detective in a victim crime unit. She is hunting down a serial killer who targets politicians.

The clues lead her to a reclusive billionaire with a devil may care attitude, Leonardo King, who is the leader of a gangster group known as "Devil's breed."

He was too neat and always planned a perfect murder that had no evidence. Jasmine got entangled with him and couldn't help but question her motives as she found herself drawn to him in ways she hadn't even felt before.

Can she put aside her desires to find out if he is really a serial killer, or will her passion get in the way of doing her job?

THE CHASE
Outside, the light grew increasingly brighter until the drapes sparkled like stained glass. Jasmine peered through the clothes to see what the day had in store. The road was sticky with water, but the puddles stood still with no sign of rain. The clouds were still grey above, but not as dense as they had been the day before, enabling patches of blue to appear. She snugged herself into bed, even more, trying to go back to sleep, but she had the habit of waking up early in the morning. She heaved out a sigh and removed the enormous leg from her body, which belonged to her sister Summer, who was sleeping beside her. Jasmine got up from bed and stretched her muscles. "Another day full of mysteries." She muttered and shoved her leg into the flip flop that was in front of her. She was about to head to the bathroom when she heard the sound of her walkie-talkie on top of her nightstand. You guys must be wondering why she uses a walkie-talkie. Well, her partner, Caleb, likes using it all the time because he forgets to pay his telephone bill most of the time. She reached for the walkie-talkie and grabbed it. She picked it up and rubbed her temples. "I need you to come to me right now. I think I might have found the clue we have been looking for to solve that f*****g mystery that got the boss yelling for days." Caleb ranted. "That is what you always say. You know, I am more nosy in new cases," Jasmine replied. "I don't care, get over here." He snapped and hung up. "Here goes Caleb treating a walkie-talkie like a cell phone, nitwit." She grumbled and dropped it back into the drawer. She lifted her hand and strived to hit it. "Or I should just." She paused and walked into the bathroom. After a warm bath, Jasmine walked out of the bathroom naked because her sister had forgotten to do the laundry. She opened her closet and took out a white suit. She was a young woman in her twenties with light skin, rosy lips, and blonde hair. She puts on her suit in a hurry when it comes to her job. She is always serious and early. She took a black bag from her closet where she kept her detective tools, guns, handcuffs, crime tape, and many more. "Sis, are you going already?" Summer spoke behind her. "You lazy ass, aren't you supposed to cook for me before I leave? But all you do all day is dance, eat, and mess up the house." Jasmine snapped. "I know, I am sorry, but I promise you I will make it up to you tonight." Summer assured, battling her lashes. "Suit yourself." Jasmine shrugged and sauntered out of the room, forgetting the walkie-talkie on purpose. Jasmine's stomach was growling with hunger; her mouth was sour. She opened the door of her Mercedes Benz and drove off to where she knew Caleb normally went for breakfast. She pulled up in front of a famous restaurant and walked out of the car just beside the restaurant. There was a jewelry store at the side. She got out of her car and leaned against her car with her hands crossed. Caleb saw her from inside the restaurant and started walking towards her when they heard the screams of a citizen. "My jewels!!" The citizen screamed just as the robber ran out of the store with a nylon bag full of jewelry. She wasn't a cop, but she hated crime like hell. She tossed a sexy look at Caleb and winked at him. She took to her heels, running after the bandit. "s**t, she has started." Caleb groaned and ran after her. "Stop you asshole!" She cursed, taking out her handgun from the inner pocket of her suit pants. She Began firing bullets at the robber, who was five miles in front of her. The robber was having a rush of adrenaline as he hit a car parked at the side of the road with the jewellery bag, causing a golden necklace to fall out of the bag. "Don't shoot!!" Caleb yelled from behind Jasmine. "But he is getting away." She complained. The robber was getting tired and the cop that was chasing him wasn't ready to give up. Little did he know that he was messing with the most famous detective in town. Jasmine was always seen on TV, she also wanted to get into showbiz and become an actress, which was everyone's dream in LA. "I said stop!" Jasmine yelled and shot him in the leg. The robber was doubled over. He felt a huge cut on his leg. He couldn't run. His blood was spitting on the ground. He held tightly to the jewellery bag and stumbled over a stone. He fell to the ground on his face. Boom!! "I finally got you. Put your hands in the air!" Jasmine commanded. The thief looked at her in a disgusted way. "Why should I listen to you? You don't even look like a cop, just some slut moving around looking for someone to devour." He snarled. "How dare you hurl insults at me; I know I don't have the authority to arrest you, but I am a detective." Jasmine said and flashed her badge at him. He gulped, gazing at the badge. Jasmine shoved her gun into her pocket and lifted the burglar off the ground, intending to grab the handcuff that was hanging from her trousers when he nudged her and began running with his injured foot. "Did you forget I have a gun? Stop there or I will shoot the hell out of you." Jasmine threatened in hushed tones. The robber didn't stop. He attempted to run away again when Jasmine caught up with him and pointed the gun at his head. "Turn back slowly," she instructed. He ignored her and started running again. Jasmine pulled the trigger, but nothing came out of the gun. "Goddamnit, I forgot to reload the gun last night." She groaned, watching the robber go when Caleb ran past her like a flash.
