I immediately returned to the kitchen and began looking for a pitcher to pour some of the water into. Cupboard after cupboard, I searched the whole kitchen for a pitcher. Eventually, I settled on a slightly smaller carafe. I was amazed upon checking over the carafe. There was no dust of any kind. It seemed as if someone had just washed each dish in the cupboard. I wondered if this was one of the rooms most cleaned by Percy when he would visit the home. Everything here was spotless save for the soot that lingered inside the fireplace.
