Chapter 1
“Help me!”
Aleena who was walking through the Phynix Forest looked around when she heard a scream that sounded like she was asking for help. The girl with the long black hair touched her immediately approached the source of the sound.
“Someone please save me!”
The man’s voice asking for help sounded clearer in Aleena’s ears. The girl in the long white dress’ footsteps got faster, trying as best she could to find who was screaming for help in the middle of the dark forest.
Aleena’s eyes widened in surprise when she saw a man trapped between the trees that were now pressing his body. Some parts of the man’s body were covered in wounds, and other parts were covered in dirt that made his clothes even dirtier.
“Wait a minute.”
Aleena immediately pushed aside the tree branches that were blocking her movement. The girl tried to lift the large piece of wood from the man’s body that was lying weakly between the trees.
“Can you move your body?” Aleena asked with an expression that looked like she was holding a heavy burden.
“I can’t move my hands,” the man replied.
“Just move your body carelessly so I can move this wood,” Aleena replied.
After a while, Alena managed to move the large piece of wood from the body of the man who currently looked pathetic. Aleena took a deep breath and exhaled roughly. Her hands were red, and her face still looked bright red from exhaustion from moving the large pieces of wood.
“Why… why are you trapped here?” Aleena asked between gasps.
“I’ll tell you later, Miss. Can I ask for your help one more time?” The man responded to Aleena’s question with a soft groan. His body was truly pathetic.
Aleena immediately turned to the man who was still lying face down next to her. Aleena’s hands moved, helping the man to lean against a large tree behind them.
“What can I do to help you?”
“My body is badly injured, and it seems like my internal organs are injured because of this accident. Can I stay at your house while I look for a healer?”
“My father has some herbal concoctions. You might be able to use my father’s medicine to heal your wound,” Aleena said after considering it for a while.
The young man could only beg Aleena as his body became weak and helpless. His voice squeaked like the sound of a hungry bird, and his gaze also looked as if he was the only human being who needed to be helped.

“Father! Come here!”
Aleena’s screams echoed in a small house located in the middle of a dense forest. The girl’s slender body looked like it was struggling as she carried a large man in her arms.
“Oh my God! Who is that man!” An old man with white hair came out of the house and immediately walked towards Aleena.
“I don’t know him. We met when I was looking for herbs in the forest,” Aleena explained. “Can you help him, Father? It looks like this man is badly injured.”
Federich Anderson immediately grabbed the body of the strange man who was in his daughter’s arms. The white-haired man immediately brought the strange man into his house and prepared some medicines.
"Prepare warm water and some clean cloths. It looks like there are many bleeding wounds on his body," Federich ordered Aleena.
Aleena moved quickly towards the kitchen located at the back of her house. The girl immediately prepared a container filled with warm water and some clean cloths as requested by her father.
“What is your name, sir? How did you end up like this?” Federich asked in between his activities of undressing the unknown male stranger.
“Helios.” The man answered in a soft voice.
Federich only nodded briefly and continued his activities of undressing the man named Helios. A few moments later, Aleena came with warm water and some cloth in her hands. The girl stopped walking when she saw Helios’ upper body which was now completely exposed.
The man’s chest was very broad and perfectly formed. His shoulders were wide, while his stomach was imprinted with several parts that looked beautiful. However, Aleena’s gaze fell on the scar that was visible across the man’s chest.
“Why are you standing there, Aleena? Come here. I need warm water,” said her father which immediately made Aleena blink.
Aleena walked over to her father and gave him a container filled with warm water and some clean cloth. However, the girl's gaze was still directed at Helios' chest which seemed to show off the transverse scar in front of Aleena.
"Hold on. This will hurt a little."
And the next second, a scream that sounded like a wolf's howl was heard when Helios screamed as his wound was cleaned.
()
Helios opened his eyes when the sun slowly appeared behind the thin curtains in the room he was occupying. The man was still shirtless, with his back currently wrapped in a clean cloth after being treated by the father of the girl who saved him.
"Your body still needs a few days of recovery. It looks like you have to stay at my house during the recovery period."
The soft voice of the girl who had saved him made Helios turn his head immediately. Helios looked straight at Aleena who was currently walking towards him while carrying a glass of thick water that gave off the scent of leaves.
"What's your name?" That was the first question Helios asked.
"Aleena Shine Anderson."
"It's a beautiful name."
Alena froze for a moment. After receiving treatment from his father, Helios finally looked better. The man's face was no longer as pale as it was . And the most important thing was his aura which currently felt very dominant.
"Are you feeling better?" Aleena asked without paying attention to Helios' last words.
The man nodded. "Thank you for saving my life."
"You should thank my father. He is the one who saved you from death," Aleena replied.
Helios pulled the corners of his lips into a mysterious smile. The man did not radiate the slightest friendliness. On the contrary, Aleena felt threatened when she saw the smile shown by Helios.
The man's aura was too dominant that it felt like Aleena's neck was being strangled by something invisible. Every time they looked at each other, Aleena felt a sense of anxiety just because Helios' gaze was able to lock her eyes at that moment.
"You're right. I should thank your father," Helios said as he tried to get up from his seat.
Seeing Helios trying hard to stand up, Aleena automatically touched the man's arm. When their skin touched, Aleena could feel Helios' body temperature which was too cold for a normal human. Aleena's brow furrowed briefly before she felt a large palm cupping her hand.
"I'm fine," Helios said.
"Your body is very cold..."
"Ah, I'm not used to the temperature in your house. Can you take me to the stove?" Helios immediately cut Aleena off with his perfect smile.
Even though Aleena was still curious about why Helios' skin felt so cold, the girl still carried Helios towards the fireplace. The girl tried to carry Helios' body weight which seemed five times heavier than her.
"You can sit here to warm yourself," Aleena said when they arrived in front of the fireplace.
Helios' strong hands were still gripping Aleena's shoulders so that the girl had difficulty moving. The body gestures shown by Helios at this time made the dominant aura of the man feel very strong. Even Aleena who usually would rebel when a stranger touched her body, now only obeyed when Helios put his arm around her shoulders.
“Thank you for letting me stay at your house for a few days, Miss Aleena,” Helios said, still with a smile on his face.
“Sure. You can rest at my house until you’re fully recovered,” Aleena said. “Can you let go of my shoulder?”
Helios immediately removed his hand from Aleena’s shoulder. The man chuckled, which made Aleena frown instantly. Aleena really didn’t understand why the aura emitted by the man named Helios felt so scary.
“You seem uncomfortable being close to me,” Helios said.
“No! Not really! I… I’m just not used to being this close to a strange man I just met.” Aleena explained in a panic, her eyes perfectly round.
“You look adorable when you panic like that,” Helios said. “How old are you, Sweet Girl?”
“Twenty-one years old.”
“Ah, little girl.”
Aleena frowned again when she heard Helios’ words. The man patted the top of her head as if he was treating a little child. Even though if you look at his face and body, it seems like their age gap isn’t that far apart. Maybe only about five to eight years older than Aleena?
“Why do you call me a little girl? How old are you?”
That question was not answered by Helios. The muscular man with a mysterious, intoxicating gaze only smiled thinly. And since then Aleena should have realized that the mysteriousness shown by Helios was something she should be wary of.
