Gothic Riddles

Chapter 5

Riddle 1

Older Man

My name is Lona and I am five years old. I've been living with an older man for three months in this house. I wake up every day at seven and go to take a shower with everyone. Then we have breakfast together and go back to the basement to play. We spend our day playing with the older man. He cooks very delicious dinner for all of us, there is meat every day so I love it. At nine we have dinner together and after dinner, we go back to sleep. He does not open the gate or the windows of the house, because there are dangerous people out there and it is not safe for the kids. We are not allowed to peek outside the windows or go out. But every week he takes one of us out and brings a new friend home along with rations. So there are always many of us here. This week I was very excited because it was my turn to go out. I took the shower, got dressed and I was ready to leave. I said goodbye to everyone and we left the house. We walked towards his car and he opened the door for me, I got in. He drove me to a house which was near the woods. He unlocked the door and gestured me to walk out. We were at the gate of the house when many people surrounded us. They jumped towards him and pinned him to the ground. He was then handcuffed and was taken to a car. They made me go with them as well. I was now sitting inside an empty room. after a few minutes, a lady walked in and she asked me how I was feeling. I asked her if she was dangerous like other people outside the house. She told me she was not dangerous and she patted my head. She showed me a menu and asked me what I wanted to eat. I had a burger and fries. While I was eating she asked me a few questions about the older men and the others living with me inside the house. I answered her questions. I told her I wanted something cold to drink so she gave me an iced tea. After I was done eating she told me that it was time to leave, she took my hand and we walked outside the room. I asked where she was taking me, she said that she was taking me home. On our way out I heard a man saying to the lady that he was going away for a while, He was charged with fourteen offenses. I asked the lady whom that man was talking about, she told me that he was talking about the older man I was living with. The lady then took me to her car and drove me home. Everyone was crying when we got there.

Riddle 2

Strange Conversartion

One night, I was visiting an old friend of mine. I hadn't seen him for a long time, He had gone to new york for studies. About a year ago, I got the news that he had gotten into a horrible car accident, there was severe damage to his head and because of that, he lost his ability to talk. After a year he was finally coming back home to Japan. I texted him and we decided to meet at his place. I reached there at about eight in the evening. There he was, waiting for me outside the house. I walked towards him and pulled him into a tight hug. I told him that I was sorry that I could not visit him in the states. He just smiled and nodded. He gestured me to come inside the house. We were having dinner that he had cooked for us. Since he could not talk, he was using his phone to communicate with me via text. We had the following conversation:

Him: I am glad that you decided to come and meet me today.

Me: Yeah, it's been good to see you again, I really missed you.

Him: Will you stay the night? You can sleep in the spare bedroom.

Me: OK. Why not? It'll be easier than walking home.

Him: Kill some time here then. I like having company. It's so lonely here all on my own.

Me: Yeah, I understand, living alone can be tough.

Him: You look exhausted. You should probably go straight to bed and get some rest.

Me: I guess I should, I am feeling very tired and sleepy.

Him: In the morning, I'll have a lot of things to take care of. Sweet dreams.

Me: OK. See you in the morning.

Him: Your bed is already made. It's the first bedroom on the right. Just go to sleep.

Me: Goodnight.

Him: Sleep tight.

I went into the bedroom and closed the door behind me. Then, as I thought about the conversation, I started shaking. I looked at the chats again and realized something. I listened to the closing of the door as my friend walked down the hallway and went into his bedroom. Then, I opened the window, climbed out, and ran all the way home.

Riddle 1

The father was the one who was k********g the kids and killing them. He was the one who had killed the girl and buried her in the backyard. The son was talking on the phone and only mentioned that a dead body was found, He did not mention that the body was of a girl. And Since his dad said that he wasn't watching the news, he could not have known the gender of the dead body. yet he referred to the body as "her".

Riddle 2

They had an abusive father and due to all the abuse the sister jumped out of the window and committed suicide, The mother saw the dead body lying down and the ground and due to the guilt, the mother also jumped out of the window and killed herself.
