“That’s exactly why I don’t want her to fall in your hands,” matigas niyang sambit. I can taste the disgust in her tone and the stares she gives me. “She’s too precious for someone like you.”
“I already told you, seryoso ako sa kanya,” I insisted, taking another gulp on my glass of alcohol. “Ano pa bang kailangan kong gawin para maniwala ka sa akin?”
“Nothing. Kasi kahit anong gawin mo, you won’t earn my trust,” aniya saka rin siya uminom ng alak. “In my eyes, you are still that fúcked up womanizer who broke so much hearts.”
