Chapter 03: Run Away

Florina tried to calm down herself, she started to play a song. Swaying her hips and enjoying the beat of the music she was playing, Florina could still feel a pair of eyes watching her. She tried to ignore it, she just focused on what she was doing until the end of the song.
After she performed, she quickly left the stage. Agustin approached her in surprise, he was about to talk to her when Florina stop him from talking.
"I'm in a hurry Agustin. I need to get out of this place as soon as possible," Florina immediately walked away from Agustin and that man.
She didn't know what was wrong with that man, as long as Florina only want is to get away from the man with the red eyes. Florina feels differently about that man, it's like he's controlling her whole body just the way he looks at her. Her knees started to get weak by just how he looked at her.
She immediately got into her car and drove away from the bar. Florina started to feel relieved when she got away from the bar, away from that person.
Florina was silent while driving, her mind filled with how she saw the red eyes of that person. She knows that it's not just a person, it's like there's something different about that guy. And she doesn't understand why her knees started to get weak when her eyes met that red eye.
Until she remembers the story about the old tales, the Primordial Werewolves. But how? Many decades have already passed and she doesn't know if that story is true.
"No, it's not true Florina. Maybe that guy just uses contact lenses, that's why his eyes turned red earlier. What I just did earlier is just an overacting," Florina tried to convince herself. Florina just laughed because of the stupidity she did.
In the middle of her driving, her phone suddenly rang, her cousin is calling. She answered the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hey Kate, why are you calling?" she asked her cousin.
"I forgot to remind you that our rice is running out of stock. Can you go to town to buy it, I can't leave the house because Rafael is here"
"Alright. Is that all I need to buy in the town?"
"Yes, that's all," her cousin answered before the call ended.
Florina stopped to turn her car back to the town. The truth is that Florina is far away from the town but because what she is going to buy is important, she will just come back.
Kate is her cousin, and they are the only two together in life. She's working as a DJ while her cousin is working as a reporter. Florina does not know who her parents are, since she was a child, her grandmother Esmeralda is the person who takes care of her.
When she arrived at the rice market, she immediately got out of her car. She bought just enough for a month and immediately got back in her car and drove home.
"I'm home," Florina said when she arrived at her cousin's house.
"You came just in time, I just finished cooking," said her cousin. Florina put down what she bought before entering her room to change the clothes she was wearing.
After three minutes, Florina went out of her room wearing an oversize shirt and underwear inside of it. She is comfortable wearing that kind of clothes and her cousin just lets her wear what she wants to wear.
Dinner was already served when Florina came to the kitchen. She sat down and while she and Kate were eating she remembered the man with red eyes.
"Kate, do you know anything else about the Primordial Werewolves?" she asked her cousin.
Kate looked at her with a frown. "Why did you ask?" her cousin asked in.
"I'm just curious about them, Kate. I hear so many stories about them," Florina excused herself.
"They are the curse Werewolves. Because of the trouble that happened before, they were punished, and the moon goddess throw their mate bond soul into our world. So they are here in this world to find their mates," Kate answered.
"What will happen when they found their mate?"
"Wait, Florina, as far as I know, you don't believe in their story. You told me that their story is only for the old," she didn't know what to say to her cousin. She's right, Florina has never been interested in that old tale.
But it was because of the man she saw, how she saw him change color and she suddenly remembered about the Primordial Werewolves. She wants to know why her body is so weak every time Florina feels the man's eyes on her.
"Just answer my question, Kate," she seriously said to her cousin.
"When they already found their mate, their eyes will suddenly change color and their mate's body will start to get weak."
Florina's suspicion was correct, that the man in the bar is a Primordial Werewolf. She saw how his eye color changed, is she??
Florina shook her head, it can't be. She is not a Primordial Werewolf mate, but like what Kate said about the weakness of the body. When she entered the bar, her knees started to get weak. She felt worse when their eyes met.
"This can't happen. I'm not a mate."
"Are you okay cousin?" She looked at her cousin when she heard her cousin speak.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Kate, I have another question. What a Primordial Werewolf mate needs to do?"
"If they have time, they have to run away. Because the time a Primordial Werewolf touches and marks them, they will never escape from them. So run, go as far as you can," her cousin answered.
Florina couldn't move where she was sitting. She doesn't want the Primordial Werewolves to get her, they said that they are the most dangerous pack of werewolves. But Florina can only think of one way for that man not to find her, she has to stay away from them. She needs to run away.
