Chapter 09: Never again

"When will we leave?," Nicholas was stopped from his thoughts when Liro suddenly asked him who was standing next to him.
"We are leaving tomorrow night. I already talked to Matilda about our departure, she will the one who will open the portal for us," Nicholas replied to his brother as he looked outside Matilda's house.
"How about your mate? Are you sure that he will come with us?" Nicholas could not answer that question.
He wasn't sure. Florina is still confused by what is happening so Nicholas is not sure if his mate will come with them when they return to the Primordial Werewolf. But the woman had to go with them, now that Nicholas knew that she was his mate. An Alpha can't rule his pack without his luna, and Nicholas doesn't want to lose the girl again.
"I don't know Liro, but she should come with us. I can't rule the Primordial without my mate," Nicholas said.
"You need to talk to your mate, my dear brother," Liro said and patted his older brother on the shoulder.
Nicholas was left alone in the window and his mind was filled with the woman who was sleeping peacefully. He let her take a rest for a while, maybe the attack on her by the rogue has not disappeared from the woman's mind.
Earlier, when Nicholas saw that the woman who was attacked by the rogue was his mate. Anger overflowed Nicholas' feelings, he wanted to kill the rogue himself but when he saw the fear in Florina's eyes, his anger disappeared and it was replaced by concern for his mate. Instead of running to his brothers to help them in killing the rogue, he just stayed next to his mate.
"What are you going to do now Nicholas?," Zura talked to him.
"I still don't know what to do, Zura. I don't want to force her to come with us in Primordial," Nicholas said to Zura.
"But she is our mate, we need her."
If Nicholas can endure the distance he and Florina had when she disappeared, his werewolf can't endure the pain they felt because of the distance they have with their mate. Just one day after he couldn't find Florina, he started vomiting blood, it's a sign that his werewolf is sick. He endured that, even though Liro was forcing him to take a rest. But Nicholas knows that resting is not the cure for what his sickness that time, it's his mate. He needs to see his mate and lose the distance they have.
Zura never spoke to him again, knowing that he was angry with him. He looked at the woman sleeping peacefully, he walked over to the bed where Florina was lying. He just stared at her, as if Nicholas was memorizing every detail of his mate's face, from her eyes to her kissable lips.
"The f**k Nicholas!!," he cursed himself. He resisted his urge to kiss the girl who sleeping peacefully.
He moved away from the bed until he can stop himself.
"She is scared," he turned to the source of that voice and saw Matilda standing and looking at her mate.
"I know, I can feel it," Nicholas said softly.
"She won't come with you. She only knows that the Primordial Werewolf is just an old tales, but she find out that she is a mate of a Primordial Werewolf, and she's mated to you Alpha Nicholas."
Nicholas just kept quiet. The next day Nicholas had to leave, he went for a run. When he returned, he immediately saw Florina, she was silent and seemed to be deep in thought. He approached his mate and his presence made her turn to him.
"Do I have need to come with you?" he froze when Nicholas heard that from his mate.
He already expecting that she will ask him about that, but it's still different when your ears hear it. They were both silent for a while as they looked at each other eyes.
"You are my mate, you should come with me," Nicholas answered his mate's question.
Florina shook her head and he was hurt by the woman's response to what he said. Matilda had talked to him about it and Nicholas had already think about what he should do. He had to find a way if he couldn't force Florina to come with him. He check first his pocket to make sure the thing he was going to use was there.
"No !! I won't go with you. The world you have is messed up and I'm not a werewolf so why should I go with you?"
Nicholas didn't like the last thing Florina said, he couldn't hold back his anger. "The f**k Florina, can't you understand that you are my mate. Even if you're not a werewolf you have to come with me because I'm your mate. I am the Alpha of my pack Florina and I can't rule them without my Luna beside me, that's why you need to come with me because you are already a part of me even though I still didn't mark you as mine," Nicholas tried to explain why Florina had to go with them back to the Primordial Werewolf.
"I don't want Nicholas, no matter what you say I will not go with you to the world you have. Just leave, or just reject me as your mate."
Nicholas couldn't stop himself. Florina was about to leave from where she was sitting but suddenly Nicholas grabbed her wrist and he pull her towards his body.
"What are you doing Nicholas? Let go of me," Florina tried to break free from his grip. Nicholas immediately took something hidden in his pocket and injected it into Florina.
He felt the gradual softening of her body. Florina started to feel dizzy, Florina's body gave out but Nicholas caught her.
Nicholas just stared at his mate's face. He caressed her face while looking at her. "I will never let you run away from me Florina.... never again."
