The Raven assigned Wolf and Wart to another mapping expedition. The location they were to scout out was up the main river of the valley. It was a river only because it was the largest stream in the valley. It afforded very few obstacles for a horseman to ford. It did have a few pools that were great for swimming in, and the two pages always carried a set of swim trunks in their saddle bags. The river flowed down from the northeast. The pages rode up along the west bank keeping the horses on solid ground. The Raven had given orders to find the perfect swimming hole, and then map the surrounding area.
