I was ready to leave for work. Comfortable in my black skirt and red top, accompanied with black flats, I decided to not put makeup. I grabbed my bag and headed out. I looked over my picket fence and saw a little girl in uniform with her school bag slung over her shoulder. She grinned at me and waved and I waved back smiling. I entered my car and drove off to my place of work. **** Work was highly uneventful and I just faced my job. Getting a promotion wasn't easy at this Company and I needed the promotion to up my salary and standard of living.
