"Why are you being annoying?"
I stop counting on how many times I told him to not wait for me anymore. I wasn’t informed that he has this childish side.
"Fine," he sighed then finally let me get out of the car.
I was about to open the gate when I remembered something. I walked towards the car and knock on the passenger window. He rolled the window down then arched his brow.
"Take care," I waved my hand while smiling widely.
He nods his head and smiled back. I turn my back and when I entered the gate, he drove away.
The house is quiet. I guess the girls are in the company already because it's almost 12 noon.
Silas and I were having breakfast this morning when I received a call from Sir Leo. We'll be having an emergency meeting and they need me in the company as soon as possible so I decided to come home to change before going.
Silas was insisting to wait for me so we can go to the company together, but I refuse because I don’t want anyone to be suspicious of us. And besides, he’s already late and Sir Leo said he’ll ask for a company car to fetch me.
My left ankle is a little bit better already, so I don’t think I’ll need crutches. I finished taking a bath and walk towards my closet to choose an outfit.
I decided to wear a lavender sweatshirt, a maong short shorts and my Nike lavender rubber shoes and white socks. I feel like I can wear close shoes now because my ankle’s swelling has gone down.
I checked myself in the mirror and noticed that the shorts were too short that my butt cheeks are almost showing. I took it off and wore a black cycling before wearing it again. I'm aware that it's my right to wear whatever I want but there's also nothing wrong in being cautious.
I just finished applying make-up when I heard the vehicle outside. My ride’s here already so I checked for all the electrical sockets, then lock the door and gate before getting inside the van.
When I reach the company, I immediately walk towards Hades office because that’s Sir Leo’s instruction. I knocked three times before opening the door.
The big bosses, some producers and Sir Leo were inside. I walked towards them then bowed my head before sitting in the sofa.
"How's your ankle?" Sir Leo asked with eyes full of worry. I smiled at him and said that it was getting better.
I can now walk without feeling any pain but running is different. I can’t lift heavy objects too. Sudden movements were also prohibited as well as dancing. I told them all my limitations because of my ankle. They nodded their heads while listening to what I say.
"You can't dance but you can still sing, right? One of the producers ask in which I answered by nodding my head.
Of course, I can still sing. I actually like singing more than dancing. But they never let me release any of the songs I write which is frustrating by the way.
"We have no choice. We have to let her sing solo," Sir Leo said while looking at our big bosses who are both bald.
Sir Hades and Sir Haze are brothers. They look like twins even though they’re not. They’re both bald, they both have big stomachs like a drinker. Both good in business and of course both nasty and greedy. No wonder they’re both single even in their forties. I don't care about looks because attitude is what makes me hooked. But if you’re not that attractive and you have a nasty attitude? Nah, I wouldn’t even give you a stare. Unless I’m desperate, I would never involve myself to people like that.
"When can you make a song ready?" Sir Haze ask one of the producers.
"It might ta---"
"I can make a song in three days," the producer was supposed to answer but I cut him off.
I have a lot of songs hidden in my notebook. But I know that they would never approve of those kinds of song, so I needed to write new ones.
"I can make a song about love if you want," I said with pleading eyes, begging them to let me write my first solo song. The producers and song writers are great, but I want my very first solo to come out of my heart.
Shocked registered in their eyes. They were so shocked that I even suggested to write about love. Well, in not into writing love songs because all I can think of was the love my parents had, which was by the way broke them both into pieces. Most of my songs are about heartbreak and lost. That's why they didn’t want me to put out any of my songs, according to them, it’s so out of character.
But now, I can confidently write a love song, because I now know how it feels. Silas made me into a romantic, I guess.
They looked at each other as if talking with their eyes. There was a deafening silence when Sir Haze opened his mouth to talk.
"Your offer's tempting but I think the people would want to hear about your recovery. You know.....like standing up after your injury. What do you think?"
The producers and the managers agree. Even Sir Leo like the idea. And I think it's not so bad. For the first time, words from Sir Haze’s mouth made sense.
The meeting resumed and my solo comeback was planned. They gave me a week to write a song and another week to record and polish it. We've also talk about the photo shoots for the album cover but they've decided to talk about the theme after I submit my demo song.
The meeting was adjourned, and Sir Leo led me to one of the music studios. I pick the guitar placed above one of the tables and sat on the floor.
I was strumming my guitar when someone barged in the room.
"What are we singing for tod---"
Kesha stopped on her tracks then looked at me. She was obviously shocked, but she immediately averted her gaze.
"Kesha......"
I tried to smile at her and thankfully, she smiled back. That's okay. It's still progress. No matter how slow or little it is.
"You didn't go home last night," she whispered but I still heard.
"I slept on Sil--"
I was cut off because her assistant suddenly appeared. "Miss Kesha, you’ll be practicing in the next studio for today."
She looked like she wanted to talk more but I smiled at her to assure her that she can go. We can talk later; we have plenty of time.
Because of our short encounter, I had the energy and inspiration to write. I know Kesha can’t be mad at me for long. She has a soft heart. I've been in the music room for almost four hours when I heard someone knocked.
"Come in," I uttered without looking because I'm busy finding melody for the second verse of my song.
"You bitch...."
