After landing there, I felt like someone grabbed my heart & squeezed it hard with his hand, not because of the place no it was because I felt so alone. No one was there with me. I had no friends, no family & I had no lover. I was totally alone in this whole world & no one cared about me, no one was there with me on that adventure.
I stayed in that state for a week. I stayed in bed & refused to eat. I wanted to disappear. Thank god I wasn’t staying in a hotel, or I would have remained in that state for more than a week. I was staying with a Moroccan family. The Parisian woman helped me rent a room in their house. One night when we were walking on the beach, we were talking about the places I needed to visit. She gave me tips about how to reduce my costs & staying with one of the locals was one of them.
Before the week was over, the woman I was staying in her house knocked on my door she was worried about me I didn’t know back then that she would be the one who would change my beliefs. She walked into the room &. stayed on the chair that was next to my bed & said “ I won’t ask you if you're okay because it is obvious that you’re not “ I laughed she batted my shoulders & said “ believe me nothing really deserves to make you feel like that. live your life as long as you breathe life is too short “ & she stood up & walked out of the door without asking me what saddened me or why was I like that she wasn’t older than me but I felt like she had the wisdom of an elder, the next day I wake up early to finish some of the work that I didn’t finish to start exploring early by 11 o'clock I finished all the things that needed to be finished & sent it to my manager, I was staying in tangier so I went first to explore Tangier's Medina (old city),it was breathtaking, it tumbles down the cliff towards the ocean in a labyrinth of narrow alleyways. The scenery was unlike anything else. The Medina—the old walled city within Tangier—encompasses the city's vibrant spirit. Dating back to the 14th century, this walled area is overflowing with meat and produce stalls and vendors selling everything from spices and flowers to rugs, textiles, silks, and more. Morocco comes alive in this area of Kasbah. The noise of negotiation and conversation is drowned out only by motorbikes making deliveries down the narrow, steep, and winding streets. It was really too much for me I felt like I was thrown into a different universe. I came back to my room at 9 pm. I was really exhausted & fascinated. I felt like I was drunk from all the new experiences. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
