I just realized the wedding is the day before my Captain's licensing exam. It's not the end of the world, and I can make it work, but it's definitely not ideal timing.
I'll just have to call it a night as soon as the reception starts to wind down, get a good night's rest, and get up with the sun to leave in plenty of time to make it to Miami for my test. That should all be a piece of cake, right?
Key West is not the most conducive place to being a responsible adult, but I have willpower and I really want to nail this exam, so I will stay strong and fight the urge to party all night long with the other revelers in the southernmost part of the continental US. I can do this.
