CHAPTER 5

Alec's POV Lisa seemed like an interesting person. She was gentle and passionate about her father. I haven't met anyone like her before. I smiled to myself as the driver pulled the car into my compound. I looked over at her . She was asleep and she looked like a child, clutching at her bag. "Do you want me to carry her in?", Andy offered and I declined. "I'll carry her myself." I said to him. I removed my jacket and handed it to him. I rolled up my sleeves and asked that the guest room be prepared before I got inside. I walked to the other side of the car and opened the door. She stirred in her sleep. I carried her out of the car gently and walked in. I stared at her face intently, taking in her features. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked a bit confused. I stared back and stopped in my tracks. "Why am I in your arms?", she asked and I thought it was a rather weird question. "You slept in the car, on your way here and I didn't want to wake you." , I replied and continued walking to the guest room. She threw her hands around my neck to steady herself and her breasts pressed against my chest. I felt my blood rush. The door was held open by one of the maids and I walked in. Her face was still buried in my neck and I laid her gently into the bed. She opened her eyes again and this time, my thoughts were running wild. I wished her a good sleep, gave orders to have her needs met and walked out of the room. **** I heard footsteps pacing in the passage way around 3am and I opened my eyes. "Who's that?", I said to myself as I thought of putting on the bedside lamp. If it has been an intruder, the house system alarm would have gone off. There was no way anyone would get past security below. I opened the door and peered into the dark passage. Her blonde hair was caught in the moonlight peeking from behind the curtains. It shimmered in the dark and I felt an urge to touch it. "Is she sleepwalking?", I asked as I moved beyond the doors. I followed her silently, making sure to be as quiet as possible in case she was sleeping. She turned suddenly and our eyes met. "I couldn't sleep, so I decided to take a tour of the house. You have a lovely house", she said to me. "I didn't mean to wake you up from your sleep", she added.. "I don't mind", I replied closing the gap between us in a few steps. She stood still as I touched her shoulder. It was cool to touch and her skin was smooth and soft. Lisa's POV I didn't realize that Alec was a light sleeper. I couldn't sleep and I decided to walk in the passageway, checking out the paintings and art works lined there. He followed me and when he caught up with me, he closed the gap between us. He stood tall, standing several inches above me. He touched my shoulder and a cold shiver ran down my spine. I suddenly became conscious of the nightwear I had on. One of the maids had brought it in the other time and it was quite light. He pulled me in for a hug and sighed. "Your hair smells like lavender", he said and he ran his fingers through my hair. I had never been this close to a man before and the thought of it made blood rush to where I didn't want it to. His fingers traced my neck and ran down my back. His hands stopped just above my waist and he pulled me even closer to him. I let my hands run through his soft hair. He pulled away to look at my face and he touched my lips. Memories from the last time he kissed me rushed back and I leaned in to kiss him. He claimed my lips in a gentle wave, biting me.
