Three days passed without any incident. We played, chased one another and hunted in our wolf forms. We stayed cleared of the trails and stuck to the thick forest. Today we were headed to the Wind River reservation. Once we arrived to the closest from the forest, we were to take a cab just outside of the reservation. From there we would walk. I offered to stay in wolf form, rather then human, incase we were attacked, and I knew something was going to happen. That's why I stayed wolf. Adele had taken the bags, offering to carry them. I became full alert, once we left our safety of the cave and stayed close to Adele. Adele was whistling and singing softly to herself, while I was keeping an eye out. I also made sure that our footprints were gone, sticking to the harder parts of the ground. The sun was slowly descending from his place to allow the moon to take her place within the starry night. Adele turned her head towards me and spoke "do you think you could catch us some game tonight? Something that will hold us off? I can haul our things up a tree high enough above the ground and out of site. Make a small fire to cook the meat." I replied through the mind link we shared, "go ahead and find a tree large enough to hide our stuff in. Stay in that tree, until I return with some food for the night. Tomorrow we can eat the rest of the snacks from the hotel. Stay out of sight and please stay quiet." I turn away from her seconds later and head deeper into woods. 25 minutes later I was dragging a deer carcass. Adele's scent was getting stronger as was the burning fire. I followed the scents, until I located the fire and dropped the carcass nearby and spoke through the mind link "come on down sister. Dinner is here." I heard the leaves move along with the branches creak, before Adele jumped to the ground. She got started on her food in no time. I took my share of the deer and laid down nearby.
That night after dinner, Adele thought it might be a good idea to retell our history. The stories that we grew up listening to from mother and father. Those memories haunted us both.
