Chapter Twelve

1252 Words
Adele and I had returned to the cottage sometime later that night, both of us were in good moods and laughing together. Once we reached the cottage, I headed to my closet and retrieved some nightwear, before I headed to the bathroom for a nice hot and relaxing shower. Tomorrow we would start our long journey to see Roman. The plan was to travel half way by bus and the other half on foot, since you cant reach Roman by any vehicle, unless you decided to go skydiving and jump from a helicopter or airplane. After my shower, Adele took one and then the two of us returned to the living room, where I had gotten the fireplace started up and Adele was reading. Tonight we would spend it by relaxing, before getting up early in the morning to pack what we needed before our trip. Everything else would be staying here. I would also be making a call to Rose in the morning so that she and her coven can come and rid this property of our scents and any sign of us being here. I didn't want to risk it anymore then I had when we were at Roses home. Adele suddenly called out of the blue from her reading on the couch you remember that time, a handful of years ago where Roman asked you to be his Queen? You never did tell me if you accepted his offer or not. So are you going to tell me? I looked up from the book that I had been reading, and looked over to my left to eye her sparkling eyes. My eyebrows furred in slight confusion, before she smirked and continued Oh come on sis! You cant sit there and be completely forgetful of the time we visited him and his people! Fine, if you want to play the confusing game, then let me remind you. We were both traveling with mom and dad and a few others from our pack, dad had some important business to handle with Romans father. Mom took off in search of Lilliana; Romans mother for some catching up and you and I decided to explore. She stopped to watch any reaction from me, but all I gave her was a small smile. I remember the time perfectly well, but I wasn't going to give away anything from what Roman and I had discussed, until the time was right. I closed my book and licked my lips, before stating I remember well dear sister, but I am not reveling anything to anyone. What the two of us discussed remains between Ro and I. Now lets go off to bed. We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow. That night, I wasn't plagued with those horrendous night terrors that I normally would get, after talking about our parents. This dream wasn't a night terror at all, but a beautiful dream instead. It made me feel very proud and happy. When I awoke the next morning, the scents of maple smoked bacon, chocolate chip pancakes and eggs made its way to my nose. Adele was making us our last breakfast. I got out of bed, made the bed and lightly padded over to my closed, before picking out a pair of washed out peach colored skinny jeans, a white cami and a peach colored silk flowered printed top. I paired that with some ankle boots and went off to the shower. After a nice shower, I was dressed and talking into the phone with Rose yes, make sure our scent is no where found in the house or anywhere on this property. I don't care what you do with what we left behind, its not of importance. We wont be contacting your coven anymore Rose, its putting everyone at risk. What I did back at your place, No I don't regret a damn thing I did to them. It was a warning to them all. You need to get your coven out of there as fast as you can. If you say so, I don't believe half the s**t you're telling me right now, Rose. Adele sends you her goodbyes and best wishes. I rolled my eyes and shook my head as I came walking out of the bedroom with the phone closed in my right hand. Adele had the kitchen table all set up and was smiling warmly at me when I walked in. I gave her a small nod and said Rose is completely out of her damn mind. She and her coven will be here within a few hours to do their job of getting rid of our scents and of our stay here within the home and on the property. They didn't head my warning about leaving and seeking safety with us, said that they were able to take care of themselves. My sister just shook her head and sat down Rose always believes that the power of her coven and those who are close to her coven is enough to protect them, but you and I both know that its not enough. I thought she would be smarter then this. Lets just eat and pack, I don't want to stay here any longer then we need to. Roman is expecting us and I don't tend to delay him. So eat up sister. A few hours later Adele and I were standing outside of the cottage with a few bags. Rose and her coven were just pulling into the long drive way, as I locked up the cottage. I made my way over to Adele's side and waited for Rose. When they got out, Rose called out come on you two, Ill drop you two off at the station. My coven will do their job, while I'm gone. Adele and I made our way to the car and got in, after we placed our bags into the trunk. Minutes later Rose was driving away from the cottage and towards the bus station. Rose spoke firmly and clear while we continued our drive what I said this morning on the phone, Zarina I didn't mean to sound rude. I just know what I'm doing. I've been doing this for a long time. I just hope that the two of you will be safe on your travels. I clenched my hands in my lap and replied in a silent snarl no, you are wrong. You have no damn clue what you're doing. You're still a child in the eyes of your elders. I am warning you right now, you and your coven are not safe in town. You need to leave. I killed five of there members, they will send out another team. That's what they do. I've seen it happen before. Are you ready to let your coven die, because you decided to stay? You have no damn clue nor any idea what theses members of the H.A.A. can do. They will slaughter you and your entire coven. Your family, your friends, their friends and family. Everyone you care about will be slaughtered and torn apart. No one will come out of this alive. You decided to ignore my warning of advice and help. Fine. But don't you ever contact me nor my sister again asking for our help. We will not help you. I turned to face the window to my right and tuned out the small conversation flowing between Rose and Adele. I just wanted out of this damn city.
