Prologue
“Search everywhere and find me that lost temple. Now.”
Bane’s deep voice thundered across the island, sending a shiver down the spines of the suited rogues around him. They scattered instantly, pulling out high-tech gadgets and sweeping the dense terrain.
An hour later, their search paid off an underground temple, hidden and sealed for centuries. They forced their way inside, only to find a massive wall blocking the path to the inner chamber.
Bane stepped forward. His sharp eyes traced the strange markings across the stone. He knew what they meant. This was it the last obstacle between him and his prize.
“Bring this wall down,” he ordered without hesitation.
A rogue prepped a bomb and tossed it.
BOOM!
The explosion shook the earth, dust filling the air. When the rumbling stopped, Bane stepped through the debris, undeterred by the haze. Minutes later, he emerged, smirking a glowing green crystal in his hand.
He pulled out his phone.
“Mission accomplished, sir. I have the crystal.”

Starfield High
Jason M. Dhark sighed as he tightened his grip on his bag, heading toward his locker. Seventeen years old, messy curls, and perpetually tired Jace wasn’t exactly the school’s golden boy.
“Hey everyone!”
Fred X. Ashwood — five-time state video game champ and self-proclaimed king of the halls — strutted up. He yanked Jace by the shoulder.
“Jace here still sleeps with his teddy bear!” Fred shouted, grinning wide.
The hallway roared with laughter.
Jace shoved him back, but Fred was stronger. Fred’s fist flew. c***k!
Jace hit the floor, blood streaming from his nose.
Fred approached again, smirking
“That’s enough fun for today.”
The voice was calm but commanding.
Leo.
Jace’s best friend — clean-cut, always neat, one of the few people who didn’t treat him like a punching bag. He grabbed Fred by the backpack and shoved him back with ease.
“Need a hand?” Leo asked, offering Jace his arm with a chuckle.
Jace took it, standing up, still pinching his nose.
“You really need to learn how to defend yourself,” Leo said, dragging him out of the hall before things escalated.

X-Station Game Company
A skyscraper towering over the city. Inside, an elevator opened to the top floor.
Bane strode into a sleek office and handed the crystal to his boss the infamous Mr. X, owner of X-Station.
“Finally,” Mr. X whispered, almost trembling with excitement. “After so many years… the crystal.”
He walked to a secure vault, opened it, and placed the crystal into the heart of a massive game control core.
Whirrr…
Green light erupted, sparks dancing across the machinery then silence.
Mr. X’s lips curled into a sinister grin. “Hahaha… Yes. It worked.”
He glanced at the floor below, where dozens of programmers and engineers worked tirelessly.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” he announced, his voice echoing. “It’s time we launch the game.”
Everyone jumped into motion.
A mechanical voice echoed across the room:
“X-Generation Fall II launching in 3…2…1… Game successfully launched.”
Cheers erupted.
Mr. X turned his back to them, muttering to himself with dark satisfaction. “One step closer to conquering the world.”

Home
Jace tossed his school bag aside and went straight for his VR rig. Time for X-Generation.
He slid on his helmet.
“Welcome back, Mr. Dhark,” his AI greeted.
“Bridget,” Jace said, “log me in. And check notifications.”
“Affirmative.”
Unlike other VR systems, X-Generation didn’t bother with passwords. It scanned his optic nerves and synced instantly.
“Two notifications,” Bridget reported.
A screen popped up:
[New game update: X-Generation Fall II (Locked)]
[Announcement: Complete all previous levels to unlock. Winner of X-Generation Fall II will receive $5,000,000.]
Jace’s jaw dropped. “Five million? Oh, I’m winning that.”
Bridget opened the trailer. The preview for X-Generation Fall II was pure chaos gods, monsters, cities in flames. Jace watched it three times before snapping back.
[Mr. Dhark, you are receiving a connection from Mr. Stone.]
Leo.
“Pair it.”
“Connected.”
“Jace! Finally,” Leo’s voice cracked with panic. “I’m getting wrecked by this goddess. Where are you?!”
Jace snorted. “The tough Leo asking for help? Didn’t we agree to finish it together?”
“Temptation got me! Just get over here. Crap poison! ARRISTOM, you cheating”
Jace laughed. Leo was fighting the Goddess of Reptiles — notorious for her venom tactics.
“Send me your location.”
A map flashed across his screen.
[Location: God Realm – Temple of Arristom]
“Not far,” Jace muttered. “But those minor gods on the way will slow me..”
ALERT.
[Godly Sensory Skill: ACTIVE]
[Warning: Enemy attack approaching!]
“Bridget,” Jace said, gripping his virtual blade. “Looks like I won’t be bored on the way.”
