Lila sat in the small, cramped room, her body aching from remaining in the same position. Tied to an uncomfortable chair. She wanted to move. She wanted to get rid of those damned ropes around her wrists. Her captor, sat on the other side of the room, watching her with cold, calculating eyes. She tried not to show it, but the truth was: she has never been this scared her whole life. The room was windowless, and the only source of light was a single bulb hanging from the ceiling. Lila could feel her heart pounding in her chest, and her breath came in short, ragged gasps. She had no idea how long she had been here, but it felt like an eternity.
