Hole with no end
It was very dark, especially for a girl walking home alone from work. Ashley is 17 and works as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant during the summer.
She never had to get home alone because someone always drove her, but today everyone left earlier except for her because it was Ashley's turn to count the money.
- I can't wait to get home and eat some of my mother's pasta...!
She almost yelled in the alley, which was echoing her voice.
She walked and walked for a while before she began to hear more than just her footsteps.
Whoever was there got really close, so Ashley started running and running, but just as she thought she was being taken, a hole opened under her feet, sending her sliding and then closing.
It got dark, almost black. There was no light, and she just kept sliding for what seemed like an eternity.
Ashley was gripped by fear as the silde accelerated; it felt like falling at this point. She fell on a pile of garbage in cave just as she thought her life was over.
Ashley was taken aback by how quickly everything happened. Was she trapped underground? Was she still alive? Who was following her? A slew of unanswered questions raced through her mind, but it all came to a halt when she remembered she still had her phone.
-WHY, garbage from everything else that could have been here?! She yelled angrily as she climbed out of the huge pile.
-I hope my phone is still in my pocket...
She found it after some searching and dialed 911.
-Yes, I will return home!
She exclaimed happy a little too quickly because she didn't have a signal.
Ashley was alone in a cave far from the surface, with no water or food. Still with hope.
"Umm, maybe if I search for a bit, I'll find something," she mentally said.
She looked around and eventually found a door with a sign saying "no trespassing."
- Yeah, I really wanted to be here. She entered the door with a sarcastic remark.
Behind the door were numerous holes in the walls, each leading to a different location;
"Which one should I take?" She questioned loudly, her voice echoing throughout the cave.
She hesitated for a moment before entering the one nearest to her. "Well, off we go!" she exclaimed, her voice light with delight.
Ashley has always been open to new experiences; she has wanted to be an adventurer since she was a child, and now she has the
opportunity to do so.Even if she may end up dead.
She became agitated as she walked. What if she can't find her way back?
Ashley was a little worried since there were a lot of rats and bugs, and she didn't know whether anyone was here.
So she wanted to get out as soon as possible.
"Is anyone there?" She didn't ask someone into particular, however she hoped for a reply anyway.
She eventually realized there was no one there and she was chatting with the literal air.
As she traveled down the trail, she grew increasingly concerned; there were some torches,
but they appeared to be about to go out at any moment.
"Can it possibly get any worse?" was a thought that flashed to her mind.
More time passed and Ashley could see some light. She arrived across a forest and small house -
-What, wasn't i underground? She said dumbfounded
The house was odd, yet it was charming.
The walls were pink with yellow spots, the garden was full of lovely flowers, the roof was rainbow-colored, and the door plain white.
"So there's someone here!!" Ashley smiled and dashed to the creative house.
She approached the front door and gently knocked; a voice said, "Oh coming!" and footsteps followed.
She could hear steps getting closer. The door opened, revealing an elderly woman with pink long hair, dark eyes, and pale skin.
She was also walking with a wooden stick.
,,Greetings, Miss Can I help you?" the old lady said
"Good evening ma'am, do you know how to return to New York?" Ashley asked a bit nervous.
The old lady's expression shifted to annoyance.
,,Why would you want to return to that place, child? You are welcome to remain with me if you desire.
She smiled and proceeded to open the door more for her.
,,Ma'am, I appreciate your kindness, but I don't need a place to stay; I need to return home
"Ashley turned to walk away from the porch, but she was immediately seized by the old lady's hand.
,,Believe me when I say that you don't want to go to the surface!." The older had a serious and desperate tone to her words.
,,Come in! "She began dragging Ashley into her house.
"You old hag, let me go!"" Ashley moved her arm away from her grasp.
"I don't need a place to stay; I need to get home!" Then she went in a different direction.
She observed the old lady was unhappy as she walked away from the property, ,,was I being too harsh on her? "She questioned and replied to herself in her mind.
,,NO, I wasn't; the hag was desperate for me to enter her home!".
Ashley was now walking through a new tunnel, which was getting smaller and smaller until she had to crouch. "I hope I don't get killed or something,
I can't really run when I'm crouching," she said aloud.
She walked and walked until she came to a stop and saw light.
,,Was it really that simple to find New Yokr? I was hoping for an adventure," she said, just a bit disappointed.
,,Well, here I come, dear home! I wonder how long I've been in this big hole with that grumpy old lady."
But as she came to an end, she realized she was in for an adventure. It wasn't her home; it was some other world with many animal-monsters roaming around,
such as a frog with glasses, a pig in a suit, some panteras walking around in groups, and many more! There were a lot of buildings as well,
it was like a city underground, and SHE was there to witness it all. "This is amazing!" she mumbled with stars in her hazel eyes.
Before she could observe further, Ashley noticed a Crocodile, and I mean a crocodile walking on two-legs that was skinny and very tall.
"So cool," Ashley exclaimed " Her mind wasn't working properly, so she went to say hello, but she was stopped when some wolves got out of a red car and tried to force the crocodile into it.
-Hey, stop that!
Ashley screamed and ran to assist the crocodile.
Surprised, one of the wolves said:
-Sorry, little human, but we're cops here, and we need to get this thing out of here before
he hurts anyone."
-But I told you I didn't do anything, I tried to save her!
The crocodile complained
"ENOUGH! "The wolves made clear.
Ashley didn't say anything because she didn't know who to believe; either way, it wasn't her business.
But something inside told her to go help him..,,I'm sorry..."
Ashley said and pushed one of the wolves, then kicked the other one in the sensitive zone. She then took the
crocodile's hand and tried to take him out of there, but the wolves were pretty fast and Ashley was kinda
slow ,, that's why I shouldn't have skipped PE!" Ahsley exclaimed, giving her all to run
-Why would you do that, are you insane?! They are now chasing you as well!!
The crocodile exclaimed,
-Come on, I couldn't just leave you there!
She replied
The crocodile grabbed Ashley's hand and flung her onto his non-stinging spikes.
-What are you up to? I can run!" Ashley reacted surprised.
You can't because you're too slow and can't compete with those wolves!
He was now moving at a rate Ashley didn't expect to see; it was like a car, but a very fast car.
But still the wolves were fast and caught up immediately with him.
,,They're getting closer !" Ashley shouted.
,,IT'S NOT AS IF I DON'T SEE!" angry, the crocodile yelled back. He had a cause, he just wanted to
go to prison for a few years and then be free again,
but now he was certain he would get a life sentence...,,I just wanted to help!"
She stated that knowing he was upset over the previous episode.
,,For the time being, just keep quiet! "He continued to speak in the same tone.
The wolves, on the other hand, were getting closer by the second.
Ashley was agitated, but she didn't show it; after all, she was on a crocodile escaping wolves! Isn't that insane?
Even if she felt that way, she removed her shoes and thrown them at the wolves. ,,HA take that!" she exclaimed after hitting one.
However, one still followed them.,,I don't have anything to throw at this one, what do we do?!" Ashley noted, "Hold on!" "was all he
could say before running faster and faster at an even faster pace. The big guy then began twisting and turning in some alleys before
jumping on a fire escape and climbing on a roof. ,,Hey! Are you certain we're safe up here?" Ashley remarked that
she was scared but still trusted the crocodile despite the fact that she had only met him.,
-Don't worry, just hold tight
"He jumped from roof to roof, and the wolf couldn't keep up, so he backed away.
However, the humanized crocodile did not stop running; he ran for about 15 minutes before arriving at an old dusty rooftop.
Ashley got off the crocodile's back when they arrived at their destination and noticed some
clothes tossed around, unhealthy snacks, anime merch, a tv, and a tent on the roof.
"Is this your house?"
She questioned.
,,it was until something happened, the wolves caught me, you set me free,
and now I'm a runaway criminal. What about you, do you live nearby? I thought humans were extinct.,,
,,Extinct? There are dozens of us!"
Ashley exclaimed,
"We're up there!" she pointed to the fake sky.
,,Right, sorry for your loss," the crocodile said as he packed some of his belongings into his backpack.
,,excuse me, loss?! we are on the surface!" She nearly screamed.
,,can't you handle your tone, did you forget we're wanted?! Stop babbling and come on, follow me!"
Why won't you listen? You are living in a fictional world and are unaware of it?! "
,,Shut up, fake world or your imagination, it's still my world!" so flip off and come on!" The crocodile got off from the roof
and was now waiting for the human.
Ashley simply decided to ignore it and escape from him once she reached a safer location.
