An hour later, Darcie had cleaned up all the broken glass with the help of Beth. It was alarming how many things she’d broken yesterday. She’d have to go shopping soon to refill her walls and shelves. Afterward a shower she dressed in skin-tight jeans and a red tank top. It was still casual by eye-catching. Daniel had told her he liked when she dressed up, but he liked her the way she was before, frumpy clothes and all. This was a happy medium. Besides, she needed to convince the man she loved that she had made a mistake and wanted him to give her another chance. She would need all the help she could get.
