Ch 15

"I am the Red Wolf." Ana replies to Luna Rose's question. Mark and Rose look surprised, however quickly gain their composure. "Then you know of the curse as well?" Rose says. Analee looks at her confused. "The curse?" Rose pushes her chair back and walks to the desk. She comes back with a book. She hands it to Analee before sitting down again. "It is called the Red death curse". she states. Analee hands the book to her father while Luna Rose continues. "The Red death curse was placed on every Red Wolf after the 3rd one. The Red Wolf was not so rare over thousands of years ago. In fact, there used to be many. However, the 3rd Red Wolf was an Alpha, and he abused the powers. He tortured other packs if they chose not to join him. Abused any woman he wanted. He kidn*pped young girls and used them as entertainment. So the Moon Goddess put a curse on his heart and removed the ability to procreate from any other Wolf. The Alpha was the only one with the gene and only his line could reproduce a Red Wolf. But because of the curse, the Alpha died at age 25. The Red Wolf became more rare because his line did not have many other wolves. The last known was over 1000 years ago. Until today. Until you." Rose finished her story. "How do you know so much about the Red Wolf lineage?" Ella questions. Luna Rose looks over at her, "One of our families here is of the Alphas line." Everyone remains quiet as she continues. "For the last 500 years, this family has lost a child at a very young age. The child is born with red hair, but does not live past age 10. It is said their wolf manifests early and because of that, so does the curse." "So we started doing research and for years had no answers. Until we looked through her family history and found out about the Alpha." Alpha Mark chimes in and continues the story. It is then that the doors open and trays of food are brought in. "I think its time we took a small break and had some lunch." Alpha Mark states. " This all looks wonderful Alpha, thank you." Ella replies. All of a sudden, Wren and Ayden jump to their feet. "Mate" They both say in unison. Analee and Jace turn to see 2 of the women staring back at them. "Mate" They both say as well. The girls looked exactly alike, both have light brown curly hair that goes past their shoulders, both are about 5ft. 6in., but their eyes are different colors. One has blue eyes and the other has a piercing green. Both twins and the boys step towards each other. Wren stops in front of the one with blue eyes, he reaches for her hands and says, "I'm Wren, what is your name?" in the softest voice she replies, "I'm Riley." They both smile and hug each other, breathing in each other's scent. Analee turns to her brother and sees that he is standing in front of the green eyed twin. He smiles, "You are absolutely beautiful, what is you name?" She smiles timidly, "I'm Remi. What is your name?" Ayden smiles back, "I'm Ayden." Analee turns to Luna Rose, "They are your sisters aren't they?" Luna Rose smiles and nods. "They are yes." She stands and walks over to the twins. She takes both of their hands and with a tear in her eyes says, "Mom and Dad would be so proud of you both. I am so proud of you both." She then turns to Wren and Ayden, "If either of you hurts my baby sisters, I will hunt you down and kick you where it'll hurt." Then she smiles and winks and places the hands of Riley and Remi into Wren and Aydens and declares them free to be together. Jace dismisses the boys so they can get to know their mates. A few more hours pass and the meeting is coming to an end. Analee has learned some more about the Red Wolf, however there is one question that remains. "Is there a way to get rid of the curse?" Alpha Mark and Luna Rose look at each other, then back to her and sigh, "In all the years we've been researching, we have not found a cure." Alpha Mark says. "We have made an antidote that has helped slow it down, but it does not cure it." Luna Rose replies. "Please grant me the antidote that I may make it for my daughter?" Doc Eli directs his question to them. "Of course. We will go first thing in the morning to the Pack hospital." Luna Rose states. "For now, it's time to rest." As everyone stands to leave, Analee collapses back in her chair. "Lee? Lee? Love, can you hear me?" Doc Eli pulls out his medical bag and checks her heart. He looks up at Jace, "her heart stopped." They immediately lay her down and begin CPR. "I just linked our pack doctor, he said he has one antidote left and he's on his way" Alpha Mark says as Doc Eli and Jace continue CPR until the Pack Doctor Ashlee arrives. "Step aside" she commands. They all take a step away and she plunges the syringe into Analees heart. After a few seconds Analee gasps for air. Jace scoops her up and hugs her. "Oh thank goddess." He says. Analee squeezes him back. "I'm alright my love." She whispers. Jace turns to the doctor and extends his hand. "Thank you so much." She nods, "You are welcome. I will go make more and grab the ingredients and recipe for you to learn." She takes her leave just as Milo comes running back in. Fear written on his face, "We need to head home right now!" Confused Jace asks, "Why?" Milo looks at him "There's been a breach."
