‘Is there anyone around us?’ I asked Xavier through the mind link.
‘No one is in here. Why?’ Xavier replied in confusion after I felt him look in every direction of my room.
‘We must go. Wrap yourself around me.’ I replied, ignoring his question for now. I felt Xavier roll himself above me, as he grunted in discomfort. I needed to focus, and my body was aching everywhere.
‘I am healing you as fast as I can,’ Artemis spoke in my mind, making me relieved to hear from them. I thought I had lost them forever; I know ridiculous but that was the first time ever I had been without their presence. I never wanted to experience that again.
