Elijah POV
Bella screams through the hall. William is by her side immediately, and I am quick to follow. Her pain and fear is palpable, though, I think it's residual from something else, the fear is not only her own.
“Queen?” A tiny voice rings up from her lap, quiet and full of fear. Bella’s wide eyes turn down to her.
“Under the table, honey. Now,” she urges, scooting the little girl off her lap, and under the table. A loud bang sounds from outside of the great hall doors. Everyone is on their feet now, most of the warriors have congregated around Bella, while a few stand guard at the door. Clothes shred as wolves come to stand in with the clan warriors.
The doors fly open revealing an empty hallway. We all stay still, waiting with bated breath.
