CHAPTER EIGHT. lS THIS LOVE ?

Ann was progressing very well at the company and she was welcomed by her workmates. She had started making friends. She was of course warm hearted and she had a friendly personality so she easily got along with others. At the company, they used to go for office dinners and some of them got home all drank including Ann. Her mother had started to get worried until Maye told her that Ann was always with Leo in the evenings and that they were getting along very well, that was definitely a lie, and Ann's mother thought it was true. Ann's mother was very happy to hear that her daughter was going to get married to the man she wanted her to get married to.

"Sir, please sign these papers." Han woke up Leo who was buried in deep thoughts. He signed the papers. As Han was leaving the office, his boss suddenly asked

" How far with the investigation about the other lady l was with at the club."

"Nothing much. l was told that the cameras were not functioning that day." Han replied.

" Okay go on with your work." Leo said.

" But sir if l may ask please." Han.

"Go ahead tell me." Leo said attentively.

" You say your in love with Ann Maye but why do you keep searching that lady from that night, why can't you just forget her? Because even if you refuse to let go of her, you will not find her." Han said sincerely.

" l remember some thing about that girl that was a mark on her neck. And l want to just find her and know her not that l am in love with her, l just want to know her only." Leo replied him. "Ok am leaving." Han said.

Ann tried to ask Han the guy that used to give her special treatment so that she could thank him in person. " lt is Mr Leo and just know he is deeply in love with you so am kindly requesting try to consider his feelings for you."Han said and he left Ann stared in thoughts. "What should l do? Should l go and thank him or? " Ann asked herself but she later went to Leo's office and knocked. She was allowed to enter. " Hello sir, am here to extent my sincere appreciation for the warm welcome you gave me when l first arrived here , Thank you so much." Ann said and after she turned to leave but she was pulled back by Leo and he pinned her on the wall creating a romantic moment gently Leo brought his lips towards Ann and she didn't resist and they gently kissed. The kiss was so passionate that they didn't want anyone to interrupt them at that moment. Ann finally regained her senses and pushed Leo away from her, she ran out of the office.

Ann ran back to her office and sat down , she was still in shock about what happened and she said to herself." l can't believe l just kissed Leo but it was so sweet. He has soft lips as if nobody has ever kissed them before. am l begining to fall for this guy, how could l have accepted his kiss? But l couldn't resist his charm." She sat there imagining thoughts. " But remember girl, he took advantage of you when you were drank at the club that night." Ann told herself. As she was in a billion of thoughts Leo walked in." Are you thinking of me beloved?" He said as he moved closer towards her. As they were looking at each others eyes Ann's friend knocked at the door. They quickly pretended to have been busy working. Leo pretended to have brought files for Ann to re-do. "Re-do these file and bring them to my office."Leo said and moved out.

"Tonight dinner is on me for you all. I said all." Leo said. " Yeah let's start moving." some workers said. They all stared moving out and Ann tried to remain behind but her friend insisted and they went. Dinner went on very well and everyone was very drank including Ann. Leo was not drank at all and he offered to take Ann home.
