CHAPTER SEVEN. SHE IS MINE.

"Hello, guys welcome to my 25th birthday and my brother's birthday, he is turning five this everyday. We are so grateful that you have come to wish us well on our special day like this. Well let's all enjoy!" Ann said. lt was her birthday party . It was also the birthday of the Maye's only son, Jack Maye, and they decided to make it a special day for the two.At the party there were many guests. Of course Ann's classmates especially friends, family, workmates and some other guests.

Ann bumped into a guy, she was holding a glass of wine and it broke into many pieces. " Who invited this guy to my party. " Ann asked herself. lt was Leo. " Hello beautiful, what a surprise! Here l am, l came to wish you well my love." Leo quickly explained himself. Before Ann answered him, Jack came running and invited Ann to come see his friends. Ann left without a second thought. Well as for Leo, he had come with a gift for Ann so since the boy got in his way, he called his assistant Han and told him to buy a gift for that small boy. Before long, Han came in with a car toy.

" Hey look boy l brought you a small gift come on, let's go see it." Leo told Jack. Outside there was a large toy car. Jack was so much overjoyed to see the gift. Before he could go Leo said " Could you let me have your sister for a little while." Jack who was not leaving Ann's side, left and went to play with the toy car.

" He is gone so you are all mine, gorgeous"

" That will never be, l can't be yours young man try else where."

" Arguments aside, l have a small gift for you. Here open up." Leo said handing her the gift. lt was latest model necklace. lt was very beautiful. Leo helped her and put it around her neck.

"lt looks good on you and adds on your beauty. Happy birthday dear." Leo told her.

"Thank you" Ann replied. she couldn't believe she was drown to him by just a necklace but she was extremely happy.

" Well here goes my first step." Leo said to himself as he smiled lightly. The party was however a successful and it ended happily. After the party, Ann went to her room and started unwrapping her gifts. That was where she met a gift that was so beautiful it was a dress that was worthy dollars. she tried it on and it was a prefect match with the necklace on her neck. She looked great in it " l wander who sent me this gift." she went the box and checked who sent the gift. lt was Leo. " But why him of all people. He is getting on my nerves. Okay okay calm down Ann clam down girl.So tomorrow l will deliver back the dress and that will be all ,yeah!" Ann told herself.

"Ann dear come down for breakfast. " Mother called out. She woke up went, took a shower, stepped downstairs and sat for breakfast. At the table Mr Maye gave her shocking news that from that week she was to be working in the F group and that was final. " But wait dad, l cannot work with that group." Ann complained. Mr Maye asked her why not and she remained silent. Maye told her that she would begin that exact day.

Ann went back to her room very upset but she had to obey her dad so she started dressing up for work . Her driver came and picked her up. As for Leo he was so eager to see her and he prepared a welcome party for her. she didn't know it was prepared by Leo. So work started. Leo gave her special treatment though Ann didn't know it was Leo so she enjoyed by the special treatment. she was served breakfast from within her office and she used not to go to the cafeteria to take lunch. Her lunch was ordered from outside the company.Leo seemed not to pay attention to her but he secretly stole glances at her. Slowly Ann stared falling for the guy that treated her special whom she didn't know.
