On our way to the packhouse, we stop for gas, delaying us ten minutes.
Then after we make our way back on the road towards the packhouse
I was in mind-link with Matt. Black Howlers had just arrived, and they were making their way outside to greet them.
Declan and I were five minutes away.
As we pulled up into the gate of the territory, the patrols let us in.
Down the road, like a mile, until we made it to the clearing.
We could see the cars of the Black Howlers, they were now just entering.
They pulled around the fountain that's at the entrance of the packhouse.
Declan waited until they all parked, and they started to get out of the two black SUVs.
As Declan parked right next to the first car, the engine roared getting everyone's attention.
I don't know what was up with my wolf, Carly, but she was weirdly acting up.
The air smelled different, it was intoxicating. It was so different from before. It smelled like pin cones, cherries, and sweet.
Declan turned off the engine, and I got off.
I faced him and handed him the helmet.
"Are you staying?" I asked him.
"Sorry, I have work to do, send my greetings to everyone and the Alpha, tell him I apologize, but I can't stay," he said sighing.
I nodded. He kissed my cheek, and there was this husky growl coming from the entrance of the house. We looked in that direction, only seeing the Black Howlers, Matt, Sawyer, Blake, and Aspen standing there.
Declan turned the engine on and drove off back to his house.
I feel shy to walk up there, making a scene, but I put on my big girl pants, and with confidence, I walk over next to Matt.
All eyes are on me.
I look up at Matt.
"Declan couldn't stay, he sends his apologies. Sorry I am late." I say, quietly.
He just nods.
"Well, sorry about that Alpha Damian. Welcome to Crescent Moon, we are so glad to have you here!" Matt says walking up to the Alpha, him meeting him halfway, they shake hands.
I walk right behind Matt. I bow my head at the Alpha. We shake hands. And that's when I feel it!
Carly was so excited and all she could say was
'MATE'
I could feel the tingles when we touched. I quickly look up at him, to see him already staring at me.
His eyes go black and then return to their original silver, with a hint of blue.
I back away, and take in his features.
He had dark brown hair, it was wavy, but not too long. His eyes, so beautiful. A very strong jawline and his body was ripped. Muscles everywhere. Big broad shoulders, his muscular arms could still be seen even with him wearing a black v-neck shirt, and a black leather jacket. He had tan skin, so shinny. He was wearing black jeans and black vans.
I put my thoughts aside when I hear Matt speak.
"This is Beta Callie, Delta Sawyer, and my little brother, Blake," Matt said introducing us.
I could hear Aspen cough, hurt that he didn't introduce her.
I look back at her.
"Aspen" I whisper and yell at her.
She instantly looks down. She knows that it is disrespectful to talk when not asked it, especially to Alphas.
Matt just laughs.
"This is Aspen, sister of Callie."
Alpha Damian just nods.
"This is my Beta Jacob, best Warrior Mia, and my younger brother Aiden," he said introducing them.
They each bow.
"Well, let's head inside. Callie will show you to your rooms on the fourth floor, and you can freshen up. Dinner will be ready at six." he said, leading everyone back inside.
Sawyer took their bags.
"Please, follow me," I said, ascending up the stairs.
We got to the fourth floor, and the room closest to Aspen's was Aiden's.
Next was Mia's. Across from Mia's was Jacob. Next to his was Alpha Damian's.
Everyone was now in their rooms. Sawyer had already left, and it was just Damian and me.
"Well, here is your room Alpha Damian," I said, not wanting to look up at his eyes.
"Callie." Oh my goddess, the way he said it. It sounded so much prettier.
I sighed in content, I finally found my mate.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Was that Alpha....--" when he took a pause, I cut him off. I know I am not supposed to, but I don't want him thinking that there is something going on between Declan and me.
"No, Alpha Declan is like a brother to me," I said, with a reassuring smile.
I looked up at him and saw him smile.
"Good." was all he said.
"Can we discuss more later? I just got home from school, and I have to go check on Aspen, and make sure everything is running smoothly." I asked. I really wanted to change, take a shower, eat dinner.
"Yeah of course. I will see you at dinner," he said.
"Thanks," I replied.
He leaned in and gave me a kiss on my cheek. I could feel all the tingles.
I sighed, happy. I gave him a smile, and I headed to my room.
As I was about to walk in, I look down the hall and find him there still watching me.
He smiles and I smile back. And I walk into my room.
I strip and hop in the shower.
So happy I found my beautiful mate.
'Our MATE' Carly howled, so happy.
