When Luca closed the door of the office, he showed Mario to follow him. He headed to the garden where Mario's father, Marco, was waiting for them.
"You know that I hate unannounced visits, Marco."
Luca spoke to the bald man that was standing under the shadow of the nearby tree. He smiled at him and winked, giving him his hand, which Luca accepted.
"We are business partners after all, Luca."
Luca pushed his anger and showed them to follow him to the terrace. After the three of them took a seat, Luca looked at Mario and then at Marco.
"To what do I owe this visit of yours?"
Since Luca never looked at Mario as someone who was intelligent for any kind of talk besides about whores and drugs and alcohol, he looked at Marco expecting him to talk but he was wrong.
Mario caught his attention when he started speaking.
"Who is that woman that was in our office?"
Luca knew that he would never dare to ask him anything, especially personally, if his father wasn't there. Magically, his balls grew around his father.
"That is none of your f*****g business, Mario."
Mario shrugged his shoulders and smiled as if he knew something was going on.
"Well, she must be really special to you since you brought her home. You f**k them in some expensive hotel and that is it. Do you f**k her?"
Luca had a feeling that something exploded in his head and he couldn't remember the exact moment he pulled the gun and pointed it at Mario's head.
"Get the f**k out of my house."
Luca noticed that all of his previous courage disappeared when he pulled out the gun and pointed it at him. His face became pale and he fell silent.
Marco looked at his son and then back at Luca.
"Luca, put that gun down. You know what he's like."
Marco never looked at Luca as someone you should mess with. His son could sometimes be stupid and quick on his tongue and it was obvious that that woman wasn't another w***e.
Luca looked at Marco and then back at Mario.
"Women you see in my house, respect them."
Mario nodded, trying not to loose his dignity, but it was tough not to with such a man in front of him. He knew Luca would be able to kill him so he backed up.
"I am sorry Luca."
Luca moved the gun and fired one time in the air.
"Next time you talk like that I will blow out your brain."
With those words he stood up and headed into the house, giving a sign to the guards to accompany Costas out of his property.
Mila looked at Maria totally frightened by what she had just heard.
"Is it a gun shot?"
She stood up from her cozy armchair and headed to the window. Even though she was scared and worried, Maria kept drinking her tea.
"Probably someone hunting."
Mila turned around and looked at Maria. Was that really normal? Maria seemed calm so it probably was.
"Fine. I am just not used to this."
Maria smiled at her and when she took a seat beside her she took her by her hand.
"I think you actually love it here."
Mila smiled at the old lady in front of her and squeezed her hand. She really does love it here, but Mr Luca was starting to bother her. It seemed like he was too interested and asking about her family was something she wanted to avoid at any cost.
"You are right, I love it here."
Maria smiled at her when someone knocked at the door. She let go her hand and stood up and when she opened the door Luca walked in. He smiled at Maria and it was something he rarely did. Mila felt her heartbeats racing and her palms started sweating and when he looked at her she blushed heavily. These feelings were totally strange to her.
"I would like to continue our conversation."
She nodded and stood up waiting for him. He turned back to Maria and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Take some rest."
Maria tapped his arm and followed them with her gaze. She shook her head, sighing heavily. He was playing with fire.
Mila walked in after he opened his office door for her. He showed her to take a seat and when she did, he leaned on the desk in front of her so she had to lift her head up a bit to be able to look at him. He crossed his arms on his chest and looked at her. His face was cold and his eyes were empty, so she had no idea what he was thinking or what he could ask her, but she had a feeling that it might be the same question again, but it wasn't.
"Are you running from someone?"
Mila couldn't hide the shock from her face and when she stood up he was surprised a bit.
"I really don't know what you are alluding to with all those questions, but if you think I am not good enough to work for, you think it is better for me to go and pack my stuff."
With those words she turned around and headed to the door, but before she managed to open them she felt his grip on her arm. Luca turned her around and pressed against the door, still holding her by her hand.
She blinked a few times when he captured her body between his body and the door. Shivers went through her entire body when she became conscious of the way their bodies were touching and when she saw his eyes she lost her breath.
