Only later did Priscilla learn about the Hollingsworth Presidential Elections Campaign’s progress in preparing for the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire primary. For not far from Liza’s home in Sills Creek, Illinois, the campaign had already begun setting up offices throughout the state of Iowa. Campaign staff and volunteers occupied space in coffee shops, roadside diners, universities, and professional office suites. The staff and a growing list of volunteers put on boots and walked city streets; drove on long country roads; and knocked on doors. They greeted people with few assumptions, introducing themselves and asking for “a moment of your time to share a word about our candidate, please.”
