The night was calm, and silence filled the Eze family's home.
Chisom lay on her bed with a smile still lingering on her face. She replayed every moment of the award ceremony in her mind, especially the moment David Isaac walked onto the stage to receive his Best Actor award.
She hugged her pillow tightly.
"I wish I could meet you one day," she whispered before closing her eyes.
Within minutes, she drifted into a deep sleep.
---
A gentle breeze brushed against her face as she slowly opened her eyes.
She looked around in confusion.
The place was beautiful. Green flowers decorated the surroundings, while colorful lights brightened the atmosphere. People dressed elegantly walked past one another, smiling as soft music played in the background.
"Where am I?" she asked herself.
As she took a few steps forward, she suddenly stopped.
Standing a few meters away was David Isaac.
He was dressed in a black suit, smiling warmly as he looked directly at her.
Chisom couldn't believe her eyes.
"No... this can't be real," she whispered.
David smiled and walked toward her.
"Hello," he said politely.
Chisom's heart pounded so hard she could barely speak.
"H... hello," she stammered.
"I've seen that look before," David said with a smile. "You look like you've just seen a ghost."
Chisom laughed nervously.
"No... I'm just surprised."
"Why?"
"Because you're my favorite actor."
David smiled.
"Really?"
She nodded excitedly.
"I've watched almost all your movies. I never miss any of them."
"Thank you," he replied. "That means a lot to me."
They continued talking as though they had known each other for years. Chisom couldn't stop smiling.
After a while, David stretched out his hand.
"Would you like to take a walk with me?"
Without hesitation, Chisom placed her hand in his.
As they walked side by side, she couldn't believe what was happening.
Everything felt perfect.
Then, suddenly—
"Chisom!"
She heard someone calling her name.
"Chisom!"
The voice became louder.
The beautiful surroundings slowly faded away.
David's smiling face disappeared before her eyes.
"Chisom! Wake up! You'll be late for school!"
Her eyes flew open.
She blinked several times before realizing she was back in her bedroom.
Daniella stood beside the bed with her arms folded and a teasing smile on her face.
"You were smiling in your sleep again," Daniella said. "Don't tell me you were dreaming about David Isaac."
Chisom sat up slowly and smiled to herself.
"I wish the dream had lasted a little longer."
Daniella laughed.
"Get ready for school first. You can continue your dream tonight."
Chisom sighed, climbed out of bed, and headed for the bathroom.
She had no idea that what felt like an ordinary dream was only the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
