Daddy's Home

Lovell instinctively went to his mother and told her everything he had learned not realizing that he may soon live to regret saying anything at all. His mother could only smile at him with delight and her eyes only widened as she knew he could never lie to her.  (Mother) Oh my son, we can be back in your father’s good graces! He will provide for us again!  (Lovell) I came to you for advice as your son, it’s not about you!  (Mother) Oh, but it is! I made this deal so that I could live comfortably and enjoy the finer things in life! I don’t care what will happen to your little girlfriend!  (Lovell) I care! She is just like me! Can’t he find another way? (Mother) No, if there was he would have found it already and you and I would be dead! You better believe that I am going to tell him before he gets the chance. If he finds out about this and that we did not tell him, what do you think he is going to do? You and your sister were bred for this, this is your purpose!  (Lovell) This was not my task, it was my sister’s!  (Mother) Now it is yours! She failed where you have now succeeded! We can have our house back! I won’t have to work anymore! Oh how I miss my satin sheets, silk robes and having our meals cooked for us! I miss that life and I want it back! You my precious boy have made that possible, can’t you understand that?!  (Lovell) I do not wish to hear this! This is insanity! I came to you as a son coming to his mother.  (Mother) Make your choice son! Either you tell him or I will!      For the first time ever in his life Lovell looked at his mother with disdain, ashamed that she was his mother and stormed off to his room immediately regretting that he had told his mother anything and also in fear because he knew she would tell his father and that he would be coming soon. He went to school the next day and tried to avoid running into Delilah. He had not yet decided how he could face her or explain his abrupt departure the day before. Delilah was trying to do her best to also avoid him even though she knew eventually she would have to speak to him if not for her family’s sake. Before the day was done they ended up running into each other as they had done countless times before and Delilah was all but beside herself to speak first.  (Delilah) Why did you run off like that? Did you tell anyone about me? Are you afraid of me? (Lovell) I have to tell you something, and then we are going to run away from here.  (Delilah) Tell me what? (Lovell) I am a Radagast or at least his son. My sister and I were bred to find a Faylinn to do my fathers’ bidding. My father killed my sister once she could not complete her task and my mother and I were abandoned here. I made the mistake of telling my mother everything you told me and now my father is coming for you… in one breath he told her everything. Delilah looked at him with complete horror.  (Delilah) I have never heard of this dark world, let alone your father. Why does he want me? I have to get home to my mother she will know what to do!  (Lovell) There is nothing that your family can do for you now my father is stronger than all of them combined. Going back to them would just be putting them in danger anyway. Uggggh! We do not have time for this we have to leave now before he gets here. I don’t know why he wants a Faylinn and I don’t want to find out! Please, let’s just go!      Delilah was undecided and scared. All she wanted to do was to get back home and into the safety of her family home. At this point she was filled with nothing but regrets. She wished she had never met Lovell and that he had never came to her school. She wished she had never said anything to him let alone let her guard down enough to trust him. She did not want to leave her family especially without them knowing what was happening right now. Maybe the best thing she could do was to leave in order to protect them from what was the impending doom that now awaited her. Delilah and Lovell had finally resolved to try and run but before they could even make it off of the school grounds, Mr. Radagast was waiting for them and blocked their exit.  (Mr. Radagast) My son! How happy am I to see you, where are you going in such a hurry?!  (Lovell) I was just taking her home, father as I do every day. He said in absolute fear.  (Mr. Radagast) Who is this young and beautiful lady to which you cleave unto so tightly son? Is this the infamous girl, whom I have heard so much about?      Delilah stood frozen in place.  (Mr. Radagast) Oh come on now my dear, it is impolite not to acknowledge your elders… especially someone of my stature!  (Lovell) Father, please just let her go, I can find another!  (Mr. Radagast) No, you cannot son! She is the only female born Faylinn that has ever existed! There is no other, especially with the other abilities I hear she possesses!  (Lovell) What do you want with her, will you harm her?!  (Mr. Radagast) That is no longer your concern, my son. The both of you will come with me now or I will drain the air from your very lungs my dear boy!      Before either of them knew it they were sitting in the living room of Lovell’s home. Mr. Radagast was beside himself with satisfaction, knowing that he was that much closer to his goal. All the while he could not take his eyes off of Delilah almost falling subject to her beauty as much as anyone else that has ever met her.  (Lovell) Father! What will you to do her?!  (Mr. Radagast) Silence boy! You are far beyond my tolerance for insolence! Tell me should I be done with you as I did your failure of a sister?      At that moment, Lovell fell silent as Delilah looked to him in fear. Although Mr. Radagast was curious as to how Delilah failed to realize the significance of Lovell's magic.. Any one of half of mind in magic would have surely noticed it of dark origin. (Mr. Radagast) Answer me this, girl. How did you not realize that Lovell was of dark essence?  (Delilah) What does that mean, dark essence?      Mr. Radagast was bewildered.  (Mr. Radagast) Lovell’s magic is strongest at night, he has a natural talent for fire, and he possesses the ability to cloak himself in darkness. He can move in the shadows without being seen. These are all dark gifts surely you know that no one in your world has those kinds of gifts!  (Delilah) I don’t know anything about dark gifts, or what they look like, let alone where they come from and who has it! Everyone has different magic!  (Mr. Radagast) Stupid girl! Don’t you know anything about your history! Two worlds exist on this very plane, a world of light and a world of dark. We were separated by war! Has your family taught you nothing?! Faylinns played a major role in the war because they were threatened by our power!”  (Delilah) The Faylinns are not my family, they disowned me at birth. I hate them for what they did and I could care even less about them or their history.      Then is occurred to Mr.Radagast why she was so void of information. Surely if she was raised by them she would know this part of herself. She would know about his family, she would know what dark magic was. He could not believe his luck! Then little by little his focus started to shift. Should he even be bothered with taking over the High Council? Maybe he should just go to the heart of the matter. With Delilah at his side surely he could simply wipe out the High Council, wage war against the world of light and rise above the ashes as its sole ruler! Mr. Radagast contemplated his options. He began to pace the floor back and forth and then decided what he would do. Then he approached Delilah.  (Mr. Radagast) I have an offer you cannot refuse, Delilah.  (Delilah) What do you mean?  (Mr. Radagast) How would you like to get revenge against the Faylinns? (Delilah) Revenge… how?  (Mr. Radagast) You will join me in my quest to eradicate the barrier that separates our two worlds and in so doing will inevitably cause an uprising from the Faylinns. You my dear can do with the Faylinns what you wish, I preferably would destroy them but I would leave that up to you. Delilah could hardly believe what she was hearing. She looked at Mr. Radagast with disbelief but something inside of her was curious about what he had to say and his offer.  (Delilah) Is that even possible? I mean how could I possibly destroy an entire family line?  (Lovell) Delilah! Surely you are not considering this madness?! (Mr. Radagast) Silence boy! My dear girl, you do not understand what a threat you are to them do you? You are half Faylinn which means their defenses are useless against you and this other magic you possess is obviously stronger than theirs or they would not have shunned you.      Delilah’s inner turmoil for the Faylinns began to surface as she struggled to navigate what she was hearing. She began to think to herself that they did shun her, and they did not know she would have Faylinn magic. It almost seemed as though she was destined to do this. She always wanted revenge and now she may have the opportunity to do so but at what cost? It was what her family has always wanted for her! Lovell looked at her as his fears began to dissipate, realizing that at least for the time being if she went along with his father they would both be safe from harm. Mr. Radagast though, had to come up with a way that Delilah would not be able to refuse or walk away from his mission when it took a turn for the worst. Especially since she did not realize the magnitude of his ambitions and what he real plan was. In that instant it came to him.  (Mr. Radagast) Now this family of yours where will they stand in the grand scheme of things, or should I just kill them all now so that they don’t hold us back?  (Delilah) They will be with me of course, they hate the Faylinns just as much as I do! Can I see them? I am sure they are worried about me.  (Mr. Radagast) Of course you may see your family again, right after you agree to my terms dear child.  (Delilah) What terms?  (Mr. Radagast) You will marry my son and come with me willingly to the dark world where we will fulfill my mission, he said darkly. If you do not agree, you will “will” your powers to me and forfeit the life of everyone who knows your name.  (Delilah) What do you mean “will” my powers to you?  (Mr. Radagast) Just like any last "Will & Testament", on your death your powers will become a part of my own. All you have to do is say it, and because your powers are every part of your being, you will die immediately after willing them to me.  (Delilah) I would never will my powers to you!  (Mr. Radagast) Oh yes my dear, I can make you say anything I want you to!      Delilah and Lovell once again looked at each other in absolute terror. Mr. Radagast with the most sinister smile on his face then held out his right hand to Delilah….  (Mr. Radagast) So, do we have a deal?      Delilah looked at Mr. Radagast with fear and disdain and then looked at Lovell who looked back with only hopelessness in his eyes and then nodded his head as if to tell her to take the deal. Delilah then turned her attention back to Mr. Radagast and slowly lifted her hand knowing she would immediately regret the decision she was about to make.  (Delilah) Mr. Radagast, we have a deal.      As soon as Delilah shook his hand a mist generated from their touch that sealed their deal. The deal had now become a pact, a contract of sorts that Delilah had to abide by or everyone that she knew would pay the price. It was a pact that could only be broken by the death of one or the other, otherwise known as a "death pact". (Mr. Radagast) Excellent! That wasn’t so bad was it? Wipe those looks off of your faces we have work to do! First order of business, Delilah we must go immediately to tell your family the good news! I am sure they are absolutely terrified that you have not come home yet! Lead the way, future daughter in law! My dear boy, you could not have made a better choice!      Delilah led the way to her family’s house, as Mr. Radagast looked on the dwelling with great disgust. (Mr. Radagast) You and your entire family live here in this dump?! No wonder you hate the Faylinns! I would hate them as well for subjecting me to live this way!  (Delilah) Right this way, sir…     In that same moment the door flew open to Delilah’s mother running out with her hands outstretched to welcome her daughter back home, and then immediately noticed her visitors. Her mother tried to clean up her appearance as best as she could realizing how dreadful of a house they resided in not yet knowing who he was and what he wanted. They did not get many visitors and could tell by his appearance that he was not from where they were from.  (Mr. Radagast) I am Claude Radagast and this is my pride and joy Lovell, please invite us inside so that we may share with you the good news of the day!      Once inside, Mr. Radagast told her family that Lovell and Delilah were madly in love and that they were to be married. He also explained that Delilah would be leaving immediately with him and Lovell to live in the comfort of his home estate. When he noticed the families discomfort he assured them that they had absolutely no say in the matter and that Delilah had already agreed to his terms to keep them safe. At this point they started to object and begged to stay with Delilah. Her mother argued.  (Mother) She is just a girl! She needs her family, she knows nothing of marriage!  (Mr. Radagast) Delilah needs to know of nothing except that she is marrying my son she doesn’t even need to speak!  (Mother) Surely you can see how terrified she is, she has never been without us, and we will not cause any trouble!      Mr. Radagast pondered on the idea. If they did come with them they would have to do his bidding and he would be able to better control of the situation but to get them over would not be an easy task. Travel is f*******n without formal consent from the High Counsel. He would have to think of a way to get them all over without raising any suspicion. Mr. Radagast would indeed have his work cut out for him.  (Mr. Radagast) Fine, you may come but not right now. I will have to send for you. I must remind you that this is strictly confidential and it requires your utmost compliance.      The family agreed and said their goodbyes to Delilah, telling her that they were sure to be with her soon. Mr. Radagast took hold of Delilah and Lovell and began to leave the grounds. As they were leaving, Lovell asked his father what would become of his mother, he figured that she may have returned back to the lap of luxury after serving his father so well. Mr. Radagast slowly turned his head with a smile and told his son…  (Mr. Radagast) That greedy mongrel got what was coming to her. What did you think I was going to marry her and we’d live happily ever after?!     Lovell dropped his head in mourning as he knew he would never see his mother again. Mr. Radagast had done away with his mother. He eluded her into thinking that she was returning back to the home he had purchased for them initially to raise his children in only to have her driven off of a cliff by one of his house staff after they had left her house. His mother had no family or stature, no one would miss her or care enough to look for her. In defeat Lovell looked to Delilah… (Lovell) I am so sorry for getting you into this! (Delilah) What will become of us?  (Mr. Radagast) Silence! Direct all of your questions to me and I will answer them if I choose! As for now you are my ward and your life is mine to do with as I wish.      Mr. Radagast had made arrangements for his driver to pick them up and return them to his home in Edom. Delilah was surprised to find a limo awaiting them outside of her family home. Mr. Radagast made them climb in and he followed behind. The windows of his limo had no visibility within or to the outside so they could not tell where they were let alone how to get there. While inside the limo Lovell and Delilah held hands as if to try and comfort each other. Mr. Radagast took notice and was sure to add his two cents.  (Mr. Radagast) How quaint the two of you look together. You do not need to be frightened just do as I say and no harm will come your way. It is as simple as that.  (Delilah) When will my family be able to come?  (Mr. Radagast) Do not worry about the details. You will see them soon enough.  (Delilah) What about school?  (Mr. Radagast) I said do not worry yourself with the details but if you must know you will finish your schooling at my residence. You will have the finest tutors that money can buy. You will be reared as any Radagast child would. Does that answer your question?  (Delilah) Yes sir…  (Mr. Radagast) What is the matter with you son? You should be happy to be rid of your mother you are coming back to where you belong. Do not look so defeated.  (Lovell) Contrary to how you felt about my mother I still cared for her. She was all I had left after you abandoned us.  (Mr. Radagast) Do not sass me boy I am still your father and I never abandoned you. I have kept an eye on you all of this time. (Lovell) What do you mean?  (Mr. Radagast) I only took my money away. I am not completely heartless you are my only son even if it was with that horrible excuse for a woman!  (Lovell) So why did you not help us you saw how we lived?!  (Mr. Radagast) I was not wasting another red cent on that wench! She bled threw my money as if it was hers to spend. You were just collateral damage.  (Lovell) So why did you not take me with you? Surely you had the means!  (Mr. Radagast) You are a child born out of wedlock. It is frowned upon in our society. You should be grateful I spared your life.  (Lovell) So why are you taking me back with you now?!  (Mr. Radagast) Because now you have a purpose and soon enough there will be no one who can question me.      As they travelled Mr. Radagast attended to his business affairs leaving Lovell and Delilah to fall asleep in the limo. It seemed to be a trip that would never end and Mr. Radagast was done answering their questions. He had left them to their own devices as long as they were no longer disturbing him. When they entered the gateway that separated the two realms Lovell and Delilah woke up to find that Mr. Radagast was being interrogated about who else he had in the vehicle.  (Guard) Who are those two?  (Mr.Radagast) Mind your manners guard do you know who you are speaking to? (Guard) Sorry sir but I must ask, they were not on your original documents for travel.  (Mr. Radagast) These two are my children and here are their documents for travel.      Mr. Radagast had handed the guard very well made counterfeit official documents that he had created giving Lovell and Delilah permission to travel with him to Edom. It aroused a bit of suspicion for the guard especially because they were not on Mr. Radagast’ s original documentation to travel to Amaris.  (Mr. Radagast) Might I ask what is taking so long?  (Guard) Well sir, they were not with you before on your entry. Do you mind if I call in for verification? (Mr. Radagast) Listen to me well imbecile! I have a very far reach in this realm and the next. If you wish to verify documentation be my guest but it will in turn cost you your life! (Guard) I meant no harm sir please proceed ahead!      Lovell and Delilah looked at each other in disbelief. They could clearly see that Mr. Radagast was indeed a man to be feared and he exercised his power with no restraint to get what he wanted. He allowed nothing and no one to disrupt his plans. He was a man that did not understand the word “no” not unless of course he was the one saying it.  (Mr. Radagast) You see my boy you must show these pests who is in control or they will try to walk all over you. You have so much to learn son but do not worry I will teach you.  (Lovell) Teach me what?  (Mr. Radagast) How to be a Radagast of course!      It was not before long that the driver pulled up to the Radagast estate. If it had not been for the dark appearance of the castle it could actually be considered quite beautiful. The limo entered through an iron wrought fence that were connected by pillars topped with gargoyles and covered in vines throughout the length of the fence. There was a pebble stone wrap around driveway with a large gargoyle fountain at its center. As the driver drove around to the steps that led to the entrance there were butlers waiting to escort them in. When the driver finally stopped one of the butlers opened the door and welcomed Mr. Radagast home.  (Butler) Welcome home Mr. Radagast, we hope you have had a delightful trip! (Mr. Radagast) My endeavors do not concern you, have someone fetch my belongings and to see these two to their quarters.  (Butler) Yes, right away sir.  (Mr. Radagast) As for you two you will rid yourself of those dreadful rags and join me for dinner. You will not see me before then.  (Butler) Right this way please.      Lovell and Delilah took the time to take in all of their new surroundings as they were being shown into the estate. They were told to stay out of Mr. Radagast’ s half of the castle and were free to roam the rest. Delilah wondered if this was what it was to live as a Faylinn. Lovell was still troubled about his mother but it did not take too long before he had to dismiss the feeling entirely. The butler escorted them to their separate rooms of which were on opposite sides of the castle as well. Delilah and Lovell had their own set of maids who treated them as if they were children. They clothed them and bathed them without either having to lift a finger. The maids were f*******n to speak to them and were commanded to do only as they were told. The maids dressed the two of them in dinner attire and left them for the butler to bring them to dinner.  (Butler) Dinner begins promptly at 8pm every night. You would do your best to attend in a timely manner or you will go to bed hungry.  (Delilah) Why is that?  (Butler) Mr. Radagast has no patience and will not wait on you. If you are not there by 8pm you may as well not come at all and then you will have to answer to him. The butler escorted the pair to the dinner hall where they found Mr. Radagast entering from an opposite direction. He nodded in approval of their attire as the butler led them to their seat which was at least twelve empty seats away from Mr. Radagast’ s seat, which was at the head of the table on the opposite end. The butler informed Lovell and Delilah that Mr. Radagast would not be taking any questions at this time and to only speak when they are spoken to. Delilah and Lovell did not care to speak to him anyway so they were more than happy to oblige his wishes. That was at least until he finally decided to speak to them.  (Mr. Radagast) What do you think of my home? Is it not beautiful?  (Both) Yes sir it is.  (Mr. Radagast) I am sure you are finding your new accommodations much more comfortable than your last?  (Both) Yes sir.  (Mr. Radagast) Tomorrow is the beginning of your new life. I suggest you take your fill!      The butlers had filled the table with an abundance of food. Neither Delilah nor Lovell had seen so much food in their lifetime and there was no possibility that they could eat it all. They were quite sure that most of it would go to waste yet and still they attempted to eat as much as they could stomach while Mr. Radagast observed them from his side of the table.  (Mr. Radagast) This simply will not do, your table etiquette is quite gruesome and it is clear that we have our work cut out for us!     Delilah and Lovell then felt ashamed of themselves and continued to eat as slowly as they could soon after Mr. Radagast announced that dinner was over and for the pair to be escorted back to their rooms to prepare for bed. After dinner was the usual time that Mr. Radagast crept away to handle most of his affairs especially with his powers reaching their fullest capacity at night. It was the best time for him to get anything he needed done.
