"What do you mean, no?" I scoff. "I mean no!" Elijah allowed me to eat in peace before bringing me to a room on the second floor that I hadn't been in yet. I had initially thought he was trying to bring me to his bedroom, but I was relieved to see that it was a living room of sorts. A living room combined with an office, perhaps, but cosy all the same. The seating area faces an open fire that sadly isn't lit right now. And best of all, there's a balcony that overlooks the back of the house. We sit on the outdoor furniture as we drink some coffee.
