Jenny woke up feeling refreshed. Sitting up she looked at her surroundings. The bed she was on has silky red sheets and pillows topped with a fluffy blanket that she is now clutching to her chest. Where the hell am I? She threw off the blanket and jumped from the bed, turning in circles slowly. It was a huge room, vintage lace and silk covered the windows, the door was made from heavy yellow wood. Chandeliers hanging elegantly from the roof and another door right from where she was standing. That must be the bathroom. Jenny walked over and opened the door. Her breath caught in her throat at the sight of Slogan, relaxing in the hot tub, bubbles floating around him, candles on every corner of the tub and a bucket with champagne on ice and two crystal glasses next to it. She walked in slowly, uncertain if she should speak or just get in with him. Quietly she slipped out of her clothes and into the hot tub, letting the warm water and bubbles drown her senses as she laid back into Slogans arms. He draped his legs over hers and pulls her closer to him, wanting to feel her skin on his. Burning to taste her sweet kisses again and to tangle his fingers in her soft dark hair. Jenny let out a soft moan as he started to massage her shoulders and he knew she wanted him as much as he wanted her. He moved and lifted her on to his lap, she moaned again and soon her panting became louder until she reached the point of no return.
Slogan took the sponge and washed every inch of her body, lingering on her breasts and again on her inner thighs, stroking her with slow but deliberate movements, pushing her to another climax, but just before she reached that point he got out of the tub then gently lifted her out and draped her bath robe over her and dropped a kiss on her head. We should get dressed; Mage is waiting for us down stairs. Jenny blushed, Mage! How could she forget about Mage? Then her blush became anger. What the hell was going on? Where are they? Why is Slogan so calm and what happened to them? Last thing she could recall was getting on that plane. But she can’t remember the take off or anything else after that. Jenny rubbed her temples. Slogan? Slogan turned around, now halfway dressed, yes my love? Jenny looked at his calm expression, how are you so calm? Can you remember anything since we got onto that plane? Slogan smiled a faint smile, not a thing, but I’m sure Mage would be happy to explain to us what happened once we meet her in the dining room. Jenny nodded then grabbed a pair of tights, t-shirt and pumps, just in case she needs to run, or fight or who knows what. She quickly pulled her clothes on, some mascara and lip-gloss then grabbed a rubber band for her hair just in case.
Mage was already seated at the dining room table, dressed in a black leather corset with matching pants and knee high flat boots, her jacket hung over the back of her chair. Around her wrist was a leather bracelet with a moon star symbol and the letters D.W engraved on a golden plate. She stood up to greet Jenny and Slogan and Jenny took a step back to look at her friend. Wow Mage you really are a sight this morning. Mage laughed. My dear friend you should get used to seeing me like this. So does my brother. Slogan smiled at her then gave her a hug. You will always be my little sister even if you’re all grown-up and bad ass. Mage laughed again. My brother, the responsible one, she said punching him lightly on the shoulder. Then walked over to her chair and gestured for Jenny and Slogan to sit down, let us have breakfast and coffee then afterwards we can discuss everything in my study. Jenny nodded and poured them each a cup of strong black coffee. Somehow she feels like she was up partying all night in stead of sleeping.
Mid breakfast the doorbell rang and jumped at the sound of it. The loud buzzing sound pulling her from her thoughts way too fast. Mage excused herself to go open the door so Slogan leaned over to Jenny. Are you okay love? You seem to be a bit jumpy this morning. Jenny looked at him, well I feel strange, as if I need to be on guard all the time. And yes I feel like I’ve been partying all night. Slogan nodded then kissed her. Then they finished eating and cleared the table before going to the study, realizing his sister has not returned for breakfast he thought she was waiting for them already, but as they entered the study Slogan realised Mage wasn’t there. Jenny had a panicked look on her face staring out the window; her hands shook as tears started running down her cheeks. Slogan followed her stare out the window then sank to his knees on the floor next to Jenny. Mage was outside in the rose garden, she looked so peaceful except for all the blood seeping from the gash in her head, her blood was spattered over some of the roses and written in her blood are the words, “I’m coming for you”. Slogan wiped his face then ran outside to his sister; guards came running with him to see what happened. As soon as slogan reached Mage he started feeling for a pulse. There, he feels it, faint but she’s alive. He found a piece of silver stuck in the gash of her head so he pulled it out. Cutting himself so that he could give her blood to help her heal faster. After what felt like hours Mage opened her eyes and pushed his arm away. He knew then she would be alright but he had to get her inside. He picked her up and ran inside then laid her down on her bed; pulling the covers over her he kissed her head. You will be as good as new soon. Rest a bit while I check on Jenny. Mage gave a slight nod then drifted into a deep sleep. Slogan ran back to the study but Jenny was no longer there. He ran to their room, checked the bathroom and found Jenny in a heap on the floor, shaking. He picked her up and carried her over to the bed then got a cold towel to wipe her face. She was crying uncontrollably so he pulled her close and told her that Mage was going to be alright, that she’s alive and in her bed recovering. Jenny pulled away from him then looked up into his eyes. Are you sure? What if whoever did this came back with more? What if next time they succeed and kill you or Mage or both of you? I wont be able to survive knowing you died to try and save me. I have to go back, I have to face… Slogan kissed her hard and fast. When he pulled away her lips were slightly swollen from his kiss and he kissed her again but only softly as if he was trying to take the pain away. He pulled back again, Jenny, don’t ever do that, don’t run off on your own to try and spare our lives. We are a pack, but most of all a family, you are my mate and I have to protect you. I made that promise to you and I’m keeping my promise. And I wont die, neither will Mage, we all protect each other, trust each other and carry each other in good times and in bad times, war or no war. I’m by your side and that’s where I plan on staying. Jenny bit her bottom lip then threw her arms around him and pulled him on top of her. Holding on as if she was afraid to let go, and he let her, trailing light kisses all over her face, kissing her eyes and nose tip too. Then he rolled off her and pulled her closer next to him. They laid there as she drifted off to sleep and Slogan relaxed a little bit too. A thousand thoughts running through his mind.
At dinner Jenny and Slogan sat in silence, looking at each other every now and again, as if reading each others thoughts and feelings through expressions only. After dinner they cleared the table and headed outside for some fresh air. Two heavy armed guards following close by just in case they were needed. Another troop of guards coming towards them in their exercise routine and two guards on every outlook, each with a snipers pose and guns to match. Jenny giggled at the sight although she knew it was no laughing matter. Slogan pulled her closer and hugged her then they turned and walked back to the house where even more guards were on patrol. Jenny looked up to the second story to where Mage’s room is. She should go check on her but what if Mage were sleeping. The light was on though so Jenny excused herself from Slogan then ran up stairs to Mage. She knocked softly then waited, the door swung open just as jenny was about to turn and leave. Mage stood in front of her, paler than ever but still alive. Jenny! Mage pulled Jenny into the room and then hugged her as she closed the door. Jenny smiled, I’m so happy that you are alive Mage. Please tell me what happened? Mage shook her head. Don’t worry about it. It wasn’t the wolves that attacked me Jenny, bloody humans. They struggle to accept us into the community. Jenny frowned; how could they get to you this easily with all the guards around you and you are fully trained too? Mage took a deep breath; one of the guards helped them to go unseen onto the grounds and then lured me outside to the rose garden with some story about a child getting stuck in the rose bushes, of course I fell for it knowing how much pain those rose bushes can cause a child, or anyone for that matter. But as soon as I got there I was jumped by four guys, I fought back but one had a blade made from silver and he used it to weaken me. Jenny walked over to Mage and gave her another hug. I’m just glad you’re okay now. Mage smiled; yeah me too. Thank you Jenny. Jenny smiled back at her; well then, I’m off to bed. I’m tired and your brother might already be asleep. Good night Mage and thank you for everything. Jenny closed the door behind her only to find slogan waiting for her in the hallway. Watching her as she walked towards him. Together the entered the room, took a hot shower and cuddled in each others arms.
