Jenny refused to give up on the strains her father had put her in.

After she left the cabin she ran into her father with some of the strongest fastest pack runners. They had captured her but she not once gave up the fight. Unfortunately she wasn’t trained well enough to fight of the pack alone and she ended up in a cell in her father’s basement. Head pounding and scrapes and bruises all over her body but nothing she couldn’t handle. At least she heals fast thanks to her pure blood. Now, Jenny thought as she gave one last yank at the restraints, then they were off. Kicking them aside she started feeling for her hidden keys that she stole off one of the pack members during the fight. Fumbling with the lock she got it unlocked and swung the gate open slowly, careful to make any noise. She grabbed her boots and slipped them on. Softly running up the stairs until she got to the basement door. Jenny froze. Listening for any sounds inside the house. Nothing. She slipped the key into the lock and turned. Click… She froze again. When she was sure no one heard it she opened the door then slipped out. Softly closing and locking the door behind her. Jenny tip toed to her room, grabbing her weapons and her mother’s anklet she left the house, sneaking around the back to where she knows is no guards. She could hear music coming from the surrounding houses so she knew they were having a party of some sort. Shrugging of the thoughts of partying and fun and laughter she started running into the woods back to Mage’s cabin. Mage and Slogan decided to go down the falls to find out if Jenny might have jumped. But there was no sign of Jenny or her blood or anything that might lead them to her. Mage looked at Slogan, who by now had a worried frown across his face. Even with the frown her brother was handsome, dangerous but handsome. Well half brother. Mage followed Slogan back up the slopes to where they came down. Hey sis? Slogan tried to smile but the wounds on his back stinged from the sweat so he flinched instead. Yes Slogan? Mage replied. Mage I thing it’s best if we turn back and start again early tomorrow. I have a feeling that her pack caught up to her and we won’t be able to help her if we are worn out and don’t have a back-up plan. Mage nodded in agreement so they started to walk back home slowly. Slogan suddenly stopped and Mage almost walked into him. What is it? Slogan put his finger to his mouth showing her to stay quiet. Mage nodded once again then looked to where Slogan was pointing. Crouching down and getting ready to fight anyone who wants to harm his sister, slogan pulled Mage behind him. Baring his bright white fangs with a hiss. Jenny kept running blindly, following the cent of where the wolves found her until she got a whiff of another familiar smell Mixed with blood and something she couldn’t quite place. She slowed down but walked out from the woods looking for that familiar smell. Slogan and Mage looked at Jenny then both sat down laughing at each other. Well, said Jenny. Glad to see someone thinks this is funny. But then Jenny started crying and Slogan rushed over to her, grabbing her up into his arms, completely forgetting about his wounds, then letting her down almost too quickly. Mage looked at Slogan then over to Jenny, realizing with a shock that Jenny is het brothers mate… But how? Mage cleared her throat and both Jenny and Slogan looked at her. Oh s**t, Jenny whispered under her breath, looking over Mage’s shoulder at a gang of vampires coming towards them. Slogan pushed Jenny behind him. Wait here, he said then in a flash he was in front of the gang. Standing broad between the gang and Mage. Slogan greeted the vampires with a smile but then it turned into a heated argument and Jenny went to stand next to Mage. Mage took hold of Jenny’s arm, oh dear, she said softly. What? Jenny asked but Mage only shook her head. Slogan turned away from the gang and headed over to where Jenny and Mage were standing. When he reached them Mage was in front of Jenny already bombarding Slogan with questions about who they were, what did they want, why the argument. Slogan held up his hand then rubbed it over his face. Mage knew that when he did that he was frustrated so she kept quiet. Slogan cleared his throat again. So, let’s go home. We will talk about this after I had a shower and a meal. I could eat a whole deer right about now. Jenny and Mage giggled then walked with Slogan, one on each of his arms, making small talk and discussing what happened with Jenny the past two days. By the time they reached the cabin they were all sweaty and starving. Jenny rushed to the room to take a shower while Slogan and Mage made something to eat. When Jenny emerged from the room she smelled like fresh honey with a wild undertone. Slogan walked past her on his way to the shower and almost pulled her back inside the room after grabbing her arm and spinning her around pushing her against the wall for a deep kiss. Jenny melted into him again but when he pulled her towards the room she shook her head, not here. Not now. You still need to shower and you are wounded. What kind of a mate would I be if I let you hurt yourself in the process? f**k! Came the word way too fast. Oh yes dear, Slogan said with a teasing smile, that does sound like a great idea. But I won’t f**k you. I will however make you mine before end of spring. Then he turned on his heals and slipped inside the room. Jenny stood there for what felt like hours before she realised that it might draw attention if someone saw her lurking in the hallway. So she went to the kitchen to find Mage. Wow! That smells divine! Jenny said as she entered the dining area. Mage was sitting at the dinner table waiting for Jenny and now Slogan. So Jenny? Yes Mage? Jenny, I need you to tell me the truth about you and my…. Slogan. Jenny looked lost. You’re Slogan? Jenny asked. No sorry, not in “that” way MY Slogan. But what is going on between the two of you? Jenny looked away then back at Mage. Nothings going on Mage, Jenny said. Mage burst out laughing so hard her tummy shook. Jenny shook her head. Sshhhhht Mage! She said. Mage stopped then waved with her hands as if trying to cool herself down. Okay Jenny, enough now. You are Slogans mate Jenny! Do you have any idea how long he has been waiting for you? Not even once has he ever had a girlfriend or anything like that. Jenny looked at Mage, shocked, not only about the fact that Mage knew she was Slogan’s mate but how did she know if he had a girlfriend before? Jenny asked Mage, How can you know if he had a girlfriend before me? Did you grow up together? Mage laughed but then realised that Jenny didn’t know. Jenny, Slogan is my brother, well half brother. I didn’t know he was half wolf until I realised he was your mate. He never told us and I never asked because he didn’t like to talk about it. Always said that one day he will tell me everything. I guess he has to now that I know the truth. Jenny shook her head, confused. Okay, so, you want to tell me Slogan is half wolf half vampire? But how? If that happened then why is it that wolves and vampires usually, except for us, never get along? I have absolutely no idea Jenny. See Slogan is much older than me, we share the same mother but not the same father. I think that maybe he doesn’t want to find his dad or something might have happened to him so Slogan doesn’t want to talk about it. Jenny wondered what could be so bad that Slogan never even told his sister. But she would find out. One way or another. After years of working on her grandparent’s case, Jenny decided to take a break and just try to act normal for once. Jenny realized that Slogan never returned to the dining room so she went looking for him. Just as she wanted to knock on the bedroom door Slogan opened it and pulled her inside. Jenny stood looking up at him, his eyes a darker shade of red and a smug grin on his face. What? She said trying to look innocent. Slogan smiled, you miss Jenny, were lurking outside my door, now you are mine. With that he pulled her over to the bed then laid her down, crawling on top of her like a predator stalking its pray. Jenny smiled but as soon as he lowered his lips to hers she felt the warm and buzzing feeling inside her tummy, then lightning shot down he spine and she felt herself melt completely. She couldn’t stop him even if she wanted to but soon enough her clothes were ripped off her body and he was kissing her all over her body, making her skin tingle as his lips brushed over all her sensitive areas. When time came she turned around giving him a full naked view of what he only saw in his imagination. Slogan ran his hands from her hips up her back then took hold of her shoulders, pulling her closer to him until he could feel her wetness driving him insane. He slowly slipped inside her, pulling her closer even still until he could go no more and she let out a moan of pleasure, he grabbed her hips and plunged into her one more time, then again and again, over and over, running his hands up her back then grabbing her hips and pulling hard. Jenny couldn’t keep quiet; she was lost in ecstasy and moaned hard every time she came. With one last thrust and a growl from his throat Slogan bend over her and slammed his fangs into her shoulder. When slogan was done licking the wound clean he rolled her over and looked into her eyes. You are mine now, I won’t let any harm come to you for as long as I live, I will protect you with all that I am. Jenny smiled up at him, feeling satisfied and at peace for the first time in her life. She huddled up next to him and put her head on his chest, his heart beating rapidly. Slogan? Mmmm yes my love? Can I ask you something? Anything love… Jenny sat up pulling the covers over her bare chest. I am confused about something… Slogan sat up, what is it that got you so confused? Well, said Jenny. You are part vampire and part wolf right? Slogan smiled at her, yes my love. Jenny thought for a moment then decided to just speak her mind. So you are Mage’s brother but only half brother. Would you be able to tell me why it is that you don’t speak to her about your father and why you chose me as your mate and not another vampire? Slogan chuckled. Well my love, I did try to find my mate for a long time, even dated a vamp once, but my wolf side is much more intense than my vamp side so I get the same instincts as a wolf male. My father was the alpha of the Golden tribe, but was killed by another alpha who wanted to take over the tribe. My father fought hard but the other alpha knew my mother was my father’s weakness so they kidnapped my mother and held her captive next to the ring where my father and the other alpha fought. And every time my father got the upper hand they would burn my mother with silver. Not to kill her but to throw him of his game when she screamed. My mother raised me and transferred the memories to me. So when I grew up I went out looking for my father’s killers and the ones who tortured my mother. And I, being fully trained as vampire and wolf, having great wolf senses and a lot of ammunition and my own mixed breed pack, found them within a few months. By then I was so consumed with hatred for them, not only for killing my father but also for ripping me away from growing up with my dad. And the torture they put my mother through, the scars she had to bear, the struggles she had to face alone with only me as consolation. So I killed them. Took them away from their pack and showed them what happens to killers. Jenny started crying. Realizing what she was looking for all these years was right next to her. But the circumstances were different now that she knew the truth. Slogan, I have a confession to make. Slogan looked at her, confused. What is it my love. You were the one I was looking for all these years for killing my grandparents... Slogan jumped up from the bed immediately taking defensive stance. Slogan wait! Jenny held up her hands and the covers dropped from her chest. But she didn’t care. I will not do you any harm Slogan, now that I know the truth I can find peace and I know they got what they deserved. You are my mate, and as you will protect me so will I protect you. I could however do with some training because I have to be able to defend myself against my father properly next time. Slogan relaxed then sits back down next to Jenny. Jenny, I am sorry about your grandparents, I didn’t realize they had a granddaughter as extraordinary as you. Jenny held up her hand, even if you knew back then, would it have made a difference? Slogan shook his head, probably not. But now you know the truth and so do I and we can move past this? I would be more than happy to train you to defend yourself properly. Jenny smiled, well when do we start? Slogan chuckled, as soon as I am healed properly. He pulled her closer and gave her a kiss on her lips, soft and sweet. Jenny and slogan took a steaming shower together which ended up in steaming hot lovemaking again. When they left the room it was way passed midnight and everyone was asleep. Except for Mage who was brooding alone in the lounge, staring into the fire. She looked up at them then smiled, well I see you two love birds have finally decided to join me, she said with a wink. Jenny giggled. Yeah we had some ummm time to figure things out. Slogan blushed but quickly brushed it of with a sweep of his hand over his face. Slogan? Mage said. What’s wrong? Slogan sat down next to Mage, sis, we need to talk. Mage raised an eyebrow. Well you see I did something terrible and that’s what bought jenny to our doorstep. But you have to know that she is my mate in every sense. Even though I’m half vamp half wolf. Jenny smiled at Mage, and I too have decided to forget about what Slogan has done because he had a good enough reason to do it. Mage frowned even more, you two aren’t making sense at all, love gone to your heads or what? Jenny and Slogan laughed at Mage. Something like that yes, just more intense. But, Slogan said, Jenny is part of me so that also make her family in every possible way. And who knows, maybe one day you, my little sis, would find true love too. Mage scoffed. As if that would ever happen. I’m too full of s**t for any guy to ever truly fall in love with me. Jenny laughed harder. Mage you would be surprised to know that not all men are wimps and actually love a challenge. They all laughed and talked until sunrise.
