So she pushed herself harder. Slogan was still a bit soft on her and she knew if she complained he would let her train with the others, so she kept quiet and just enjoyed it. It’s been a month since the incident with her father and the pack. But she also knew not to underestimate them. The day would come that they would hunt her down, but she will be ready, or so she hoped. Slogan was sweating all over the place but he kept going and soon he stopped her and pulled her into his sweaty arm. Eeeew Slogan! She complained. You are soaked and so I am I. let’s hit the showers then walk home, I’m starving. Slogan playfully slapped her arse then jogged to the bathroom with Jenny right behind him giggling. When they reached the bathroom they were laughing so hard Jenny had to sit down to catch her breath. Wow, she said, that was some training today. I am beat. Slogan pulled her to her feet, come on then, let’s finish up and head over to the cabin. Mage will probably have dinner ready when we get there. After the shower they started walking back to the cabin. The training grounds are about a mile from the cabin so they had to walk and run at some points just to get there before dark. Not that the dark bothered Slogan but he wasn’t sure Jenny would be up for a fight should the vampire gang or her fathers pack attack.
They got to the cabin just as darkness took over, but all lights were off and there was no sign of Mage or anyone else for that matter. Slogan told Jenny to wait on the porch while he switched on the lights. Jenny got a cold shiver down her spine and the hairs on her neck was raised as she nodded to Slogan, she touched his arm, be careful, she whispered. Slogan nodded back to Jenny then winked. Wow she loved this man, she thought to herself. Slogan slipped into the cabin then the first light came on in the lounge, then the kitchen, Jenny didn’t like standing outside alone, the feeling of danger taking over and her wolf started growling to come out. Jenny knew something was wrong so she slipped inside then followed Slogan’s cent until she found him in the kitchen crouching over a pool of fresh blood. Jenny, he whispered, I told you to wait outside. Jenny shook her head; I felt danger so I rather came inside. Whose blood is it? Slogan rubbed a hand over his face, well it’s not vampire or human, seems like wolves were here. Jenny froze, Mage. Where is Mage? Slogan shook his head. I’m not sure but I’m sure she is here and safe. Walk with me then we check the rooms okay? Jenny nodded and they started of towards Mage’s room. Passing Slogans room Jenny heard a soft whimper. She grabbed hold of Slogans arm then pointed to the room. Slogan counted softly to three then swung the door open. Nothing… Jenny shook her head then pointed inside again. So slogan went in front of Jenny switching on lights and checking every corner and cupboard, under the bed, inside the bathroom. Nothing. Then slogan remembered that there was a trap door in his cupboard underneath some boxes. He opened the doors and found the boxes were moved. So he signalled to Jenny to stay where she was while he checked it out. When he lifted the trap door, Mage was huddled up in the corner like a little frightened child, crying. Mage! Jenny almost shouted, but pulled Mage up over the ledge. Mage smiled through the tears and grabbed Jenny pulling her into a tight hug. Slogan rubbed his hand over his face again and sighed with relieve. Mage shook uncontrolably so Jenny took her to her room While Slogan went to the kitchen to find Mage some O+ blood in the fridge. Whwn he got back, Mage was in the shower and Jenny was siiting on the bed looking paler than ever. What happened Jenny? Slogan asked. Jenny patted on the bed, sit next to me. Slogan did as she asked. Slogan, the pack was here with the gang, they united forces to bring us down. They want me because I killed my boyfriend and they think you are keeping me against my will. I have to go back and face them. They threatened to come back and rip everyone appart untill I am found so that they could deal with me. I can’t put you and Mage in danger anymore, I have to go back. Slogan turned pale, then rage filled him and his eyes turned bright red. Jenny, are you crazy? They will rip you appart limb from limb. I cant’ I won’t let that happen. I promised you that I would keep you safe and I always keep my promises. Jenny tried to speak but Slogan took her lips with such force that she had no other choice than to keep quiet and kiss him back. When he drew away he softly touched her lips with his index finger, now I don’t want to hear another word about you facing them alone. I will get the group together. Did Mage say how many were here? Jenny nodded, she said there were fifteen, ten wolves and five vampires. But apparently they have a whole army at their disposal. How will we defeat them? Slogan chuckled, just leave that to me my love. You would be surprised how many I actually have that are more than willing to fight with us. Mage came out of the bathroom all dollied up and ready for war. Slogan and Jenny smiled at her. Hey love birds, where’s the funeral? Cheer up. I got the one wolves head in the freezer so we have one less brute to deal with, Mage chuckled. Sorry Jenny, no offence meant, but they are ruthless killers and no one will harm my brother or my sister inlaw as long as I’m alive. Jenny laughed, you two really are brother and sister. Very bossy aint ya. Mage gave Jenny a stern look then smiled, you bet ya arse we are. And protect you I shall. Jenny gave Mage and Slogan a hug. So, she said when she pulled away. What is the course of action. Slogan rubbed a hand over his face again and let out the breath he didn’t realise he was holding. Well, he said. First I will round up my people then we can discuss the course of action at the training grounds in London. We will need to be ready for anything. Maybe send some scouts up ahead that can keep us updated about the enemies plans. I have some wolves that might be perfect for the job after they have been groomed a bit. Jenny smiled. Well grooming I can do since I know all the do’s and don’t’s of the pack. Also I can give information of the layout of the dens and training grounds and who to watch out for and who not to attack. Slogan frowned. Not to attack? What do you mean by that. Slogan, just so you know there are actually some of the pack members that would go with me if they knew the truth, and the children I wouldn’t want harmed either. Slogan snorted, I have never allowed any child in harms way and not planning on to start now. Young women can be left out too unless they are running with the army. But when it comes to the army all will fall. Slogan said with an alpha tone and Jenny knew she should stop there. Even though she has alpha blood too, Slogan is the stronger of the two of them and he is the head of the house and her protector and mate, so backing off is a good idea she decided. Okay Slogan. I have no problem with that. He nodded at her then gave her a soft kiss on the lips. Goodbye my love, I will see you soon. He gave mage a hug and with a kiss on her head he left. Mage and Jenny stood staring at each other for a while. Mage what are we supposed to do now? Jenny asked. Mage shrugged, I don’t know. Stay alive I suppose. They both giggled then walked to the kitchen. Mage put on the kettle for some hot chocolate while Jenny cleaned the puddle of drying blood. After the cups were ready and floor cleaned they went to sit in the lounge in front of the fire place. Slogan made the fire right before he left so it was starting to warm up a bit already. The night went by quickly and Jenny and Mage only went to bed when the sun had risen already. By noon when they woke up they found Slogan passed out on the couch. Jenny didn’t hear him come back so maybe he decided to let her sleep alone so that she could get enough rest before the last training session. Mage started on dinner while Jenny got a bag of blood ready for Slogan, She knew he might need it to built up his energy so she took it to him then slowly crouched next to the couch. Raking her fingers through his curly hair then softly kissing him all over his face. Slogan stirred then opened his eyes slowly with a smile. Well hello there my gourgeous mate, he said still grinning. Jenny kissed him on the lips this time then almost purrred when he softly pulled her on top of him. She could feel his hardness pressing against her but she didn’t mind. Knowing he was hers and only hers made her extatic. I have bought you a little snack, she said to Slogan pointing to the bag of O+.. He kissed her again then slowly rolled her off him and sat up. Rubbing his hands over his face and hair then clearing his throat. Jenny sat watching him as he finished the bag in one swig then toss it in the fire..
After a hot shower Slogan felt better and sat in the dining room with Jenny, Mage and some of the guys he rounded up, discussing what needs to happen, where and when as well as giving orders that no young women or children should be harmed unless they are running with the other pack. All aggreed on the terms and three of the group were the wolves set out to scout the area and learn more about the other packs plans. Jenny was assighned to groom them and fill them with the details needed to do their job properly. After dinner was done and everyone was satisfied with the plans the other men left for the night but aggreed to return in the morning for the info they needed. Mage yawned then said goodnight and went to her room. Slogan went to take another shower while Jenny cleaned up the dining area and put a new pot of coffee on the stove. Just as she sat down in the lounge there was a soft knock on the door. Jenny frowned then listened again, another knock a bit louder came again. Jenny walked over to the door and slowly took the handle, but slogan stopped her hand then signalled for her to take a few steps back. She did as he asked then Slogan opened the door. Outside was a young cub with a envelope in his hands. He handed it to Slogan then ran off. Didn’t even say a word.
