Carolina I was surprised that I was called to the dean’s office that morning. What have I done? My grades were high, and I mostly kept to myself. I only had a handful of friends: Lewis, Daisy, and Ford. We hit it off mainly because they were a little older than the usual freshmen. Daisy was a cancer survivor. She had spent the past few years sick. When she had gone on remission, she convinced her family to enroll her at the local college. Lewis, a doctor’s son, admitted being spoiled all his life. He rebelled because his family was trying to force him to follow his father’s path. He was a brilliant student, but he did not have the desire to go into medicine. Ford was a drug addict.
