Chapter Four: World Altering Spell

Lilly's plan was brilliant, at least that's what she thought as she and the rest of her coven gathered in the woods on the full moon. Lilly had heard that true love could conquer anything, but there was something even more important on her mind. Her true love knew how to keep her alive...
As they gathered Lilly told the other's that finding her true love was a matter of life and death and that they were going to help her. The spell that they were casting was a call to her true love to come where she was. It was a way for her true love to find her. For her soul mate to come and give her what she needed.
Lilly knew and remembered all her past lives with him, but it wasn't love she was interested in, at least not this time. She wanted the instructions on how to become immortal and she was going to get them, one way or another...
As they performed the spell two things happened, Damian felt his world shift, a sudden urge to go into the forest, and he knew what it meant, she was calling him. But something else happened, something that would change everything, and no one could have guessed what it was.
As the spell was completed, they were all exhausted, all but Lilly, although the spell was draining, she had enough power left over to still function. They rested and then they all went their separate ways. As they headed home Vanessa asked Lilly a serious question.
“What was the point of doing that spell? I know we were calling out to your true love, but the question is why?” Vanessa asks curiously.
Lilly smiles, “During my last life as Katya, I learned that there is a way to become immortal. Even if I don't become immortal myself, I don't want to lose anyone else I love. However, the only person who knows exactly what to do, just so happens to be my soul mate. Radames. So, this spell was to call him to me, and in doing so I will make him tell me the whole truth of how to become immortal.”
“Now when you say immortal, you mean living forever right?” Vanessa asks.
Lilly nods, “Yes mother, forever, not getting old, never dying living forever with the people you love. Every life I have suffered with loss, I'm not going to lose anyone anymore. No matter the cost.”
Vanessa seems a bit afraid, “What is the cost for immortality?”
Lilly looks at her, “You have to sacrifice an innocent soul, one that shares your blood. If the gods find your sacrifice worthy enough, they grant you immortality.”
Vanessa looked at her, “Lilly do you really think you could sacrifice an innocent soul?”
Lilly stops walking and looks at her mother her eyes full of determination, “After the hell I have been put through, yes to keep anyone else I love from dying, I would happily sacrifice an innocent soul.”
She turned and continued walking home with her mother following her. Lilly was determined to get the answers she needed. Even if that make breaking his heart to get the answers, she desired...
