Dark Qi

1111 Words
The Lord rushed to the skies to the golden tree. It was apparent that something had gone wrong when he arrived. He didn't bother to pay attention to the sulking fox and went directly to the tree. The tree was bleeding out and its leaves were falling off. He placed his hand on the tree and closed his eyes. He transferred some of his Qi to the tree and began to heal the tree. The golden tree's wound started healing, he spent the whole day healing the tree. He meditated right after and allowed his soul to leave his body. His soul flew to the sky and traveled across the empire. He tried to track down Gu Junxiu based on her soul's scent but was having trouble finding a pattern. "Where are your little one?" he asked. He flew back to his body and woke up. Once he woke up he got up from the floor and went to the heavens. He has to inform the Emperor of the heavens that the darkness had risen. Ting ting flew after him to go to the heavens, he had lost his master and it worried him. The darkness was very strong and he had failed to protect her. **** Gu Junxiu walked around the castle while trying to find a way out. She left Zhu Xi sleeping peacefully in the room, she couldn't take the risk of bringing him with her. She had to find a way out first before she tried to save the boy. She stumbled in her steps and had to lean on the walls for support. Her body or soul and Zhu Xi explained was getting weaker and weaker by the day. She didn't give up and kept going, she roamed around until she found the stairs. She descended the stairs without a second thought and arrived at a lavishly decorated living room. She took her time to examine her environment before she ventured on. She didn't take or touch anything in the room and went for the exit. She walked out of the room and found herself outside the house. She looked behind her and saw the beautiful castle standing tall behind her. She was amazed by the architecture of the castle. She turned her gaze forward and made a run for it with the little strength she had left. As she ran she was yanked back with a powerful force and hit the ground with a thud. She got up from the floor with a lot of difficulties. She dusted her dress and wiped the dust on her face. She heard a hissing sound and looked up. She froze in place. Her eyes stared at the gigantic snake in front of her as fear hit her like ice-cold water. Her mouth went dry and her stomach knotted out of fear. The snake was moving closer and closer to her but she was still paralyzed with fear to react. "What do we have here, assess," said the snake before charging forward to attack Gu Junxiu. Junxiu saw the snake aiming at it and dodged it by doing a backflip. She fell to the ground upon landing due to how weak her body was. The snake kept attacking her and she did her best to avoid the attacks and stayed on defense. She knew in her heart that she won't be able to keep up with the snake for much longer. With every move she made she struggled to keep herself up and to stabilize her breathing. She felt the immense amount of Qi in the air as she defended herself from the snake. She tried to cultivate it but it didn't work and she staggered and fell to the ground. The snake seized this chance and bite her. Ting ting's words repeated in her ear. "If your soul is destroyed then you will die." She gritted her teeth and let herself rest on the ground. She could feel the effect of the poison in her body but she was too tired to do anything. The snake wrapped its tail around Junxiu and brought her up from the ground and opened his mouth to eat and swallow Gu Junxiu. Gu Junxiu had only one regret at that moment and that was that she was not able to save Zhu Xi. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes wide with realization. She took multiple deep breaths continuously as the snake got ready to eat. Just as the snake's mouth was at the head she jumped out of his hold and landed on the ground. Not once did she stop taking long breaths. She got her strength back and smiled at the snake. "You wanted to eat me, let this young miss have snake soup for dinner," she said and charged towards the snake. She had gotten her strength back by breathing in the Qi in the air. The deeper the breath the more Qi she took into her lower abdomen. She transferred the Qi to the rest of the body and got ready to fight, she blew a punch to the snake and bruised his skin with the shadows that appeared from nowhere and heeded her command. She was shocked momentarily but got her senses back to continue fighting. She was happy not to have to get close to the snake for her to fight it. She kicked into the air and all seven shadows kicked the snake from different directions. She punched and kicked in the air multiple times without taking a break and the shadows mirrored her movements to the snake. She kept the fight going and thus time standing on the winning end. The snake tried to fight back but all his attacks failed since he couldn't harm or land any attack on the shadows. But they didn't go easy on it and gave their best punches and kicks. Gu Junxiu fought like she had done with her sword before and cultivated the Qi in the air. She broke through level four and got to level five. She leveled up and received a sword as a gift. She took the sword and sliced the air, in the same way, the shadows sliced open the snake. A core fell off from his open neck and fell at Junxiu's feet. She picked it up and kept it in her dress, she would ask Ting Ting its use after she escaped that place. The shadows disappeared when the fight was over and she returned to the house to find Zhu Xi. "She managed to cultivate dark Qi. Nice," whispered Zhu Xi who was watching her from the rooftop.
