Chapter Thirty-TwoThe policeman guarding Sandra was named Dennis Russell. Around forty-five, he was tall and rangy with neatly trimmed hair already graying at the temples. When Paul and Evelyn arrived at the hospital, he met them in the hall outside Danielle's room. Paul then escorted him a few yards away from the doorway so that Sandra couldn't overhear them and told him in detail about his phone conversation with Rico and his and Evelyn's experience with him several months earlier.
