Blackout
Rain was pouring as I walked down the dark barely lit streets of New York. The rain fall mixing with the cold streets created a looming fog over the ground. I lived in an apartment on the outskirts of The Big Apple. There wasn't much to do within walking distance besides night clubs. Most of the night clubs were underground. Down a flight of stairs into the basement of old abandoned buildings. The windows were blacked out so the lights didn't give away the location of the bar. Unless you were familiar with the town and the bar then you'd never know it was here.
Finally arriving to my destination, I made it to the bouncer at the bottom of the stairs where he already knew me. Looking at his bulging muscle under his crew T. He was strictly here for work. All the girls flaunting over him never seemed to really bother him. Jake was a real charmer though, when he wanted to be. Perfect dark brown hair and mysterious green eyes with a hint of gold. A set of well polished teeth and a body like a quarter back. You know he had to work out to be able to throw any fighters out of the bar.
"Hey RC, the boys' are already at the bar over there" as he turned slightly and pointed to the bar where my three guy friends sat under the neon lights. Each had a beer and were laughing about something the bartender said. Here they were, three guys laughing to one beautiful girl with long brown hair. As I thanked Jake and started walking towards the three, the one closest to me turned and caught sight of me. His smile slowly vanished and concern filtered to his eyes.
I walked closer with caution but then realized Jace's eyes were focused directly over my shoulder. The last thing I remember was hearing a female scream as a tremendous pain in my head came and not long after the pain everything went black.
