Chapter 4The second time Daniel knocked on the door at 42 Bennet Lane, it was an entirely different experience. This time, he caught the hostess’s name, Leela, and she seemed much more concerned about making him comfortable, giving him tea, telling him exactly where he should sit once the ritual started. Everybody, in fact, seemed more concerned about him, more interested in who he was, more inclined to talk to him. But Daniel only wanted to see two people. He had hoped they would beat him there, but once again, he found himself waiting, his eyes drawn to the door every time it opened.
