Chapter 7

Aurelia's POV I looked around the room. It was very large and beautiful. The room had been adorned with many pretty things as well as roses scattered around. I looked around, seeing that there was a bathroom and two walk-in closets. One had plenty of dresses that would clothe the women of a large village. The other had men's clothes. This must mean that I'd be sharing a room with Samuel. I sighed when some maids entered the room. "M'lady, your bath is ready. We must get you ready to see the young master." One of them said, guiding me to a bathroom across the hall rather than the one in the room. I could see this one was way bigger and fancier. I realized the maids would be attending to me this whole time, so I didn't try to intervene. After I took a bath, they dried me off, applied makeup to my face and did my hair. My hair was half tied up in a bow, secured by a blue bow. Then they clothed me in a long layered blue dress. It had pretty ruffles and jewels adorning it with long sleeves that hung off at the elbows. I looked in the mirror at myself. My appearance was beautiful. It was a shame that I was being used for these purposes. "Miss. It is time for us to take you to the dining room. Young master is waiting." A different maid than last time spoke and they escorted me through the house. The house was beautiful but it looked almost obnoxious at how much luxurious stuff was displayed, it was a display of wealth. It was like they had something to prove. We walked into the dining room. It was a decent sized room that had an accompanying table. It looked like it could sit around 12 people. Rhamon sat at one end and Samuel at the other. The sight of them both made me shiver a little bit. The two of them were related but they didn't know I know. "Ah darling. I am so glad you are doing well." Samuel said, getting out of his chair and pushing the chair on his right out for me. After I sat down, he pushed it in before putting his hand on my shoulder. The feeling of him touching me made me feel disgusted as he placed his lips on the top of my head. "I was so worried about you." I would have to be obedient here, otherwise they would know that the ivagilda had fully worn off or I would be punished for not cooperating. ' Escaping will have to wait, Aurelia ', I thought to myself. Leaning my head into his hand, I smiled. "Sorry for troubling you Samuel." I apologized kindly, which made him smile and sit down in his own chair. The maids began placing down our food and then, when Rhamon started to eat, so did Samuel. So, I took that as my queue to eat. It was a simple breakfast. Eggs, sausage, and toast. I grabbed some jelly that was sitting on the side, put it on my toast and munched on it. Samuel and Rhamon's stares practically burned as I ate. "Will I be going dress shopping today?" I asked to cut the tension I had been feeling. Rhamon smiled while putting down his fork. He patted his mouth with a napkin before replying, "Yes my dear. Samuel will be accompanying you. You'll also be picking out various wedding things such as flowers, shoes, cake, etc." It seemed that Rhamon wanted me to have an actual decent wedding. That was the only comfort I had was that I had a little bit of control. After breakfast, I was escorted to a car outside by Samuel. He opened the door for me before sitting in the front passenger seat. He exchanged a few words with the driver before we started moving. It had been so long since I had been in a car or outside. The house I had been in was as extravagant on the outside as it was on the inside. The yard and everything was also beautiful. I sat my head against the window staring outside at the foreign scenery for a while before drifting off. Even though they said I had been asleep, I knew that I really hadn't been. I just hadn't been in control of my own body, and I never slept while I was in the place I was stuck in, so I was exhausted. Once we got to our location, I heard Samuel's voice and his hand gently nudging my shoulder. "My love, we have arrived." He spoke softly, not trying to startle me. If I hadn't known his true intentions and had this been a normal situation; me being a normal girl, I am sure I would have fallen for him easily with his sweet words. I yawned and then looked at him, taking his hand and stepping out of the car. We were in front of a shop that had lots of dresses on display in the windows. We walked inside and a lady walked up to us with a cheery smile, "Mr. Takira! What a pleasure to see you come into my humble shop! What can I do for you and this fine lady?" "Hello Mrs. Purpit. This is my fiance. I am sure you've heard of the wedding coming in two days. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to have a custom dress made but I am sure you have some fine dresses that my bride can look through." Samuel said, referring to me. The lady walked over to me smiling in response and grabbed my hands, "My dear, we will make you look fabulous! What's your name?" Mrs. Purpit asked. "Aurelia, and you? Unless you'd like to be called Mrs. Purpit." I asked, looking at her instead of Samuel. Talking out of line was something I had to truly fear now. The last thing I needed was another dose of Ivagilda in my system. I may have gained consciousness once, but who is to say I am able to do it again?
