“Make a phone call to the Crimson Moon Pack" “What should we give them this time,Your Majesty?" Carl asked, seemingly confused, Matteo's lips curled into a faint smile. "Offer them the biggest deal they've gotten in their miserable lives."A calculating glint flashed through his eyes. Carl nodded before leaving to make the arrangements. Meanwhile, the news about Lyka had been trending for three consecutive days. Instead of dying down, it only became worse. People cursed her everywhere online. Some internet detectives even dug deeper and discovered that Aiden had once been connected to her sister. That discovery instantly caused another wave of outrage. They started calling her a homewrecker. A third party. A shameless woman who stole her own sister's mate. Smash! Another phone hit the wall. The device shattered into pieces before dropping to the floor. Alpha Ryan, who had just entered the room, sighed. "That's the third phone you've destroyed." "Dad!" Lyka almost screamed. "Do something! "Her eyes were red from anger and frustration. "These people are cursing me everywhere! Every single post is about me. I can't even open my account without seeing insults. They're bullying me online and I can't do anything!" She grabbed a pillow and threw it across the room. "It's so frustrating!" Ryan frowned. For the past few days, he had already tried suppressing the news multiple times. Every attempt failed. Every request was blocked. He had even investigated the person behind the scenes but he couldn't find any results, perhaps Lyka’s conclusions was alive and had found herself a powerful backer, quite troublesome indeed. It was as if that person appeared out of thin air. "Dad, I thought you said the news would disappear!" Lyka shouted. "Then why is it still there?!" Ryan rubbed his forehead. He was beginning to get a headache. "I've been trying." "Trying?" Lyka laughed bitterly. "Well, your trying isn't working." Her face twisted with hatred. Alpha Ryan stroked her head affectionately, “Don't worry, Daady will see what he can do, for now don’t try to move much, don't make a fuss, you know how much I hate disobedient children.” Lyka could hear the threat hidden beneath his words. The door opened, Aiden came in with his phone in his hand, “Alpha, the Lycan Kingdom is interested in collaborating with us,” Alpha Ryan’s face turned serious, “Let's discuss this in my office,” Lyka looked between the two men. "Aiden..." She finally gathered the courage to call his name. For the first time since entering the room, Aiden looked at her. The disgust in his eyes wasn't hidden at all. Lyka felt a sharp pain shoot through her chest. Alpha Ryan noticed the tension immediately and decided to leave them alone. "Don't take too long," he said before walking out and shutting the door behind him. The atmosphere instantly became suffocating. "I..." Lyka lowered her head. "I know you saw those pictures and videos, but I promise they're not what they seem." Her hands clenched tightly on the bedsheets. She didn't dare meet his eyes. Aiden chuckled making her heart sink instantly. Slowly, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and placed one between his lips. He casually played with the lighter for a few seconds before lighting it. The room was soon filled with the smell of smoke. "You know," he said calmly, "I really hoped it wasn't true." Lyka's eyes brightened slightly. "It's not." "I hoped it wasn't true," he repeated. "I kept telling myself someone fabricated the evidence. That somebody edited those videos." "It wasn't me," Lyka said quickly. "I swear it wasn't me." Aiden took a long drag before exhaling slowly before he laughed coldly. "Do you take me for a fool, Lyka? Or do you simply enjoy mocking my intelligence?" Lyka's face turned pale. "I also thought the same thing," Aiden continued. "How could my mate cheat on me? How could the woman I married be sleeping around with other men?" His voice remained calm, but that only made it scarier. "So I investigated." Lyka suddenly felt uneasy. "The owner of that club happens to be my friend. And I happened to see the original footage." "No..." The color drained from her face. "That's impossible." Aiden smirked. "Why?" He took another puff of his cigarette. "You thought your daddy successfully cleaned up everything for you?" His eyes were filled with mockery. "Too bad. I got my hands on the footage before it disappeared." Lyka's body trembled. Aiden looked at her from head to toe. "Looking at you now is quite disgusting." Lyka’s composure cracked "I'm disgusting?" she asked weakly. "Tell me how I'm disgusting. You haven't touched me since our wedding night. I have needs too!" she suddenly shouted. "I have emotional needs! Physical needs! I'm your mate, Aiden! Yet you never looked at me, never cared about me, never treated me like your wife!" The moment the words left her mouth, she froze realized something had slipped. Aiden stared at her quietly before he laughed again. This time the laugh was even colder and more frightening. "So now it's my fault?" Lyka opened her mouth but no words came out. "You cheated." "You lied." "You betrayed me." "And somehow you've convinced yourself that I'm responsible for your actions." He shook his head. "You really are pathetic." Lyka felt as though someone had slapped her. "I suggest you stop pretending. Even a rock can see through your act." With that, he walked toward the door, closing it softly. For several seconds, Lyka remained frozen before she snapped. "AHHHHH!" She ripped the drip needle from her hand. Blood stained the sheets. She threw the flower vase against the wall, crashed the medical equipments, venting her anger on any object she could touch. "My lady—" A maid who had just arrived with food and the new phone immediately froze at the doorway. GET OUT!" Lyka screamed. The maid nearly dropped the tray in fright before running out of the room. Another vase flew across the room. Lyka's eyes were red with rage.
